Doesn't appear as though the shower was cleaned before they rented out the room. Front desk moved my room.

I wish I would have read reviews before staying here but I thought Hilton was the safe option. I booked a room here for 2 nights through Expedia. On the night of my check in date, I called the hotel to inquire what would happen to my reservation because I was not able to check in on that date and would not make it until the next day. The man I spoke to said that my reservation would still be there and that it would be fine, I said are you sure, he asked me when I was staying I said my reservation is for tonight and tomorrow night but I won’t make it until tomorrow. He said “yeah, it will be fine”. I believed him. I arrived the next day at 1pm to check in and was told that since it was a 3rd party reservation I was considered a no show and my reservation was cancelled. They told me they had rooms available but I would have to rebook for the night and I would have to pay again, even though I already paid for 2 nights (and was only staying the remaining night left). I told the lady about the phone call and that I spoke to a man “and she said the only man working the front desk is the one standing next me and he is new so he gave you the wrong information” I said so you won’t take responsibility for giving me the wrong information. The man would not even look at me at all or say a word. This mans inaccurate information cost be $219. They refused to give me my room without paying again. This is robbery. Terrible customer service in the hospitality business. This would only be my responsibility if i had never called but I literally called to find out what to do and was told it would be okay. She kept citing the rules about 3rd party reservations without acknowledging that I called the hotel to let them know. Good customer means taking responsibility for telling a customer the wrong information not punishing a customer for an employee giving that said customer the wrong information. The lady even admitted he was new! What a shameful way to deal with this situation. I have escalated this to Hilton customer care whom I hope will make it right. But I will never stay at a Tru by Hilton ever again. I used to work at a hotel, managers are given certain authority to overwrite certain situations, however the manager at this hotel kept saying there was nothing she could do since it was a 3rd party reservation. If there was no ability to override what happened to my reservation then there is certainly the ability to make a new in house reservation without charging the customer. It’s unfortunate that this manager, Katy did not do the right thing.

I booked this place on Hotels.com, and clearly the reviews there were sugarcoated compared to the reality. We arrived at 2:20 PM after a long drive with our 3-month-old baby, exhausted and just wanting to check in. Instead, I was met with the rudest “welcome” I’ve ever experienced. The front desk attendant, Bianca, looked me up and down like I was annoying her. She was busy chatting with another employee, and when I walked up, all she said was, “Yeah?” Not “hello,” not “welcome,” just pure attitude. When I told her I wanted to check in, she flatly said there wasn’t a single clean room in the entire hotel and told me to “come back at 3 exactly.” As if they were magically going to clean every room in the building in 40 minutes. It was obvious she just didn’t want to check us in early. To top it off, her beat-up black car with no hubcaps was parked right in front of the entrance, making the place look even worse. We tried to cancel after that interaction, but because we booked through Hotels.com, we were stuck and forced to stay. The room was damp, cramped, and had just ONE pillow per bed. Our baby, who was perfectly fine before, was congested and miserable all night—mold, maybe? Nothing would surprise me here. Breakfast the next morning was pathetic. The “scrambled eggs” were floating in water, there was no sausage or bacon, and the pancake machine was empty. Not that I was shocked—Bianca was running the breakfast area, and based on the night before, I wasn’t expecting anything better. This hotel is a disgrace to the Hilton brand. The staff is rude, the rooms are depressing, and the whole experience was disgusting from start to finish. We will NEVER stay here again.
