  Homewood Suites in downtown Austin continues to deliver an exceptional experience every time I visit. The location is truly outstanding — centrally located, easily accessible, and offering beautiful views of the city. The rooms are consistently spacious, immaculate, and thoughtfully designed, making them comfortable for both short and extended stays. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, with a variety of fresh, quality options, and the snack selection is always well-stocked. The overall atmosphere throughout the property is inviting, quiet, and very well maintained. The pillows deserve a special mention — remarkably comfortable and genuinely supportive. What truly sets this property apart is the team. The staff is consistently professional, friendly, and attentive. They proactively check in by text to ensure everything is going well, and they are always willing to assist with anything needed. The personalized welcome screen with my name on the television is a thoughtful touch that makes the stay feel warm and personalized. Simply put, staying here is one of my favorite parts about visiting Austin. It’s the perfect combination of location, comfort, and service. I highly recommend Homewood Suites downtown Austin without hesitation.

  The hotel is really nice but the breakfast is terrible.The options are very limited. There isn’t a large quantity of food, once something runs out there isn’t anymore. The food isn’t fresh. Barely any food is provided. When we asked for a refill they usually don’t refill or refill a half hour later.The plates also have a very bad odor to it and when we asked the lady she didn’t do anything. Overall the breakfast deserves a bad review but the hotel service and everything else is perfectly fine.

  Nice hotel and room overall. Front desk staff were very nice when they were at the desk. With the location directly next to I-35 the set of earplugs on the nightstand was a nice touch. The proximity to downtown allowed for a quick walk. Three biggest negatives during the stay: 1. Elevators sometimes took up to 5-7 minutes to arrive at your floor. It sounded like not all 4 were working, but I'm unsure. Also, many times housekeeping and maintenance staff were occupying the entire elevator with their carts. With 4 elevators, convert one to employee use only so it does not impact the guests. 2. Smoke detector low battery beep started at 12:30 AM. If there was a long-term maintenance program that replaced batteries around time changes this would not happen while the room is occupied. I know things happen and this cannot always be prevented, but steps can be taken. 3. Shower floor was dirty from active use. Even when they are thoroughly cleaned, the showers can retain brown/black color. A long-term housekeeping deep clean schedule can help this where a bleach or other deep clean product is used to scrub and maintain the white appearance for guests to feel confident it is clean.
