The room was beautiful, finished to a high standard, and the front desk staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the overall experience was let down by the breakfast, housekeeping, and general maintenance of the property.
Breakfast:
We were extremely disappointed with the quality and presentation. Everything was served on plastic plates with plastic cups, and the food options were very poor. There was only one hot option, and the sausage tasted artificial and rubbery. There were no healthy choices at all — just sugary cereal and bagels, and no vegetables. This is not the standard I expect from a Hilton-branded property. I’ve stayed in many Hiltons before, and I have never experienced a breakfast this bad. My partner and I also experienced stomach issues on both mornings, and the only place we ate was the hotel breakfast.
Housekeeping:
The housekeeping team seemed hardworking, but our room was not cleaned for the first three days. I had to request cleaning myself. When it finally happened, it was minimal — the bed was made and fresh towels were provided, but items such as the hairdryer were left out instead of being put back in place. It felt very average and not what I associate with Hilton standards.
Maintenance Issues:
Throughout our five-day stay, several basic facilities were not functioning. The water station on our floor was broken for the entire stay so we'd go one floor down to fill up our water bottles. Multiple elevator buttons were not working properly — you often had to press different buttons to call the elevator, and the buttons on the second floor stopped working entirely. It gave the impression that essential maintenance is being overlooked.
Overall, the room itself was lovely, but the breakfast, housekeeping, and lack of upkeep brought the entire experience down. This did not feel like the Hilton standard I know and expect.
GOOD: Great location. Friendly staff. Redhead girl upgraded my wife and I to the 14th floor, which has a great view.
BAD: $65 valet parking. Park on the street around the corner for free after 6pm. Horrible breakfast: undercooked/raw potatoes, cold (boiled?) gray sausage patties, green bananas, watery oatmeal, only sweet cereal and sweet waffle options (hope no one in your group is diabetic), and the same average “omelette” the basic hotels have. We looked at several hotels downtown and picked this one because breakfast was included. We won’t be coming back. We’re here one more night, but so far, breakfast has ruined our experience.

Rooms- Spacious with TV, good lighting, Bathroom and Fridge. But no microwave.
Service- Front office staff are good, breakfast staff are humble and friendly. When given a choice, I chose for everyday housekeeping. No one came until 2 days, when they just cleared the trash, added new towels for old ones and tucked in the same sheets. Everything is as it is, no cleaning, no replenishing of body wash, no change of dirty sheets and bathroom is as it is.
Location- Very close to various locations so easy access to food, entertainment and other places to see.
We booked a two bed room. They gave us a handicap room. We didn’t ask for that. I would hate that someone who actually needs the handicap room to come along and its unavailable. The manager Michael VO WOULD RATHER ARGUE WITH YOU INSTEAD OF FIXING THE PROBLEM. 🚩 reusing tissue from old guest. Telling me that it’s not supposed to be a fresh roll of tissue after every guest. THATS BEYOND NASTY AND UNSANITARY.. wouldn’t recommend 0-0 don’t trust every review you see. I will never EVER RETURN here NOR SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.
Generally enjoy Hampton Inns, and have stayed at this one a handful of times and it has been ok. But in transparency, last visit was extremely noisy both inside the hotel (front desk staff's admission of guest behavior that they were allowing to carry on - not mine!), and due to neighboring venues/clubs. May be best to avoid this hotel if traveling for work and need true rest (clubby music & bass at back of building started promptly at 9:30pm on Weds night). Luckily it did not last too long and understandable that hotels can't control their neighbors (and Austin being Austin - many hotels are right next to such venues); and the interior noise from fellow guests did halt around 10pm, guessing for quiet hour). Not a bad location though, and nice to have a place that still offers breakfast. Just was too rowdy for mid-week for our group who was visiting for work.
