Not our best experience at a Hampton. We reserved a suite and a king room. They didn't have the suite so they just put us in 2 King rooms. I asked to make sure they price corrected the downgrade. They said sure. When we left they refused to give us a receipt. Yup, you read that right. Refused to give us a receipt. So when we got home and the rooms were posted they of course overcharged is. Called Hilton and told us they would get us a check in 4-6 weeks. What a cluster this hotel is. The lying and lack of professionalism does not make this a good hotel. We will not be back.

They have one washing machine and dryer machine for the whole hotel and the washer machine was broken. We’re here for two weeks. I had to wash clothes in the tub and bring it down in a suit case wet to dry it, which would be in use so I have to air dry clothes for 4 people which take two days to dry. The closet laundromat is almost two miles so you can’t walk to it. The breakfast is okay. It’s usually the same everyday. The blankets here are yellow at the edges in both beds. There are dead flies in the window sills. The rooms smell like really strong cleaning chemicals or cologne or something but you get used to it after a few days. There are homeless people always hanging out outside. The gym is tiny there’s a one tread mill a bicycle and the weights only go up to 25 lbs it can only fit two ppl in there comfortably. I know cause I was in there with one other random person.

This is a three-star hotel but my stay was worthy of a 4-5 star rating. Although I requested a first-floor room, there wasn't one available when I checked in until the staff completed the finishing touches while I waited for a few minutes. The wait was totally worth it because the room was directly adjacent to the back exit, which allowed me to easily load heavy musical equipment in and out. The breakfast buffet was quite extensive, and it included everything one would expect from a Hampton Inn. They even had fresh strawberries and pineapple instead of the usual selection of green bananas and miniscule apples. The hot tea selection was a bit limited (zero herbal teas and when the green tea ran out they never replaced it), which was odd considering the "hot" water was never hot when I needed it outside of breakfast hours -- this happened on consecutive days. The fitness center is a bit cramped. There is barely enough room to have a treadmill and an elliptical trainer side by side, which can make it awkward for even two strangers using the room at the same time. Still, the equipment itself is in good condition, even if there isn't room to lay down a floor mat (which they don't have anyway) for stretching.

Doing renovation in the reception area. I would have not stayed there. But already had reservations. Thermostat on wall did not work. It was warm in the room.
