This place is awesome!!!! I hope to God this place never gets remodeled, because you have just stepped back in time, it is 1983, and it is glorious. Everything is clean, well maintained, and as soon as I got into the actual hotel from the lobby I had an audible wow. My hotel room is a one-bedroom apartment! This is by far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in

Room had no extra sheets or blankets for fold out bed. There was no sheet on main bed, just a comforter. The coffee maker was a Keurig, but they had no pods, just packets, so there was no way to make decent coffee in the room. The elevators were dirty and the place is generally run down.

I read positive and negative reviews of this Embassy Suites before booking a room. I primarily chose it due to location. We had a great stay here. I’ll hit the pros and cons from my perspective. Pros: Location and walkable to a lot of food, shopping, and experiences. Felt safe. Was clean. Breakfast was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable. Cons: It could use a refresh (paint, etc), but nothing that detracts from the stay or creates discomfort. We requested an extra blanket one evening and waiting about 1.5 hours before they delivered one. I assume this is likely due to the number of staff on duty late in the evening, but I’m making an assumption. Again, we got the blanket we requested before going to bed. I read some reviews that traffic was too loud. We were on the 7th floor on the side of the main road (S. Congress). With curtains closed, noise didn’t bother me at all. Overall, it was a great stay. If we are back in Austin, we would definitely consider staying here again.

Paid $55 for parking. Literally almost all of the elevators were out of order, and we stopped at the front desk to check in before we parked, and no one said anything about the elevators not working. If we had known they were out of order I would’ve just inhaled my belongings in the first place. So so ridiculous to not tell your customers this. When I tried to leave, I was stuck in the parking garage because the gate wouldn’t open after I paid.
