This is one of my favorite hotels to stay. I would give it 5 stars but one lady employee that works during the day doesn't care to accommodate me like the rest of the employees do. I cant even check in if she is working. She tries to pass off like she is following policy but that is not the case and it's clear that she's only doing it because she can. Other than that this place is great the rest of the staff is as well.

Yesina and Grant at the front desk, were amazing, very friendly and patient they answered all of my questions and made our stay comfortable. The cookies at the front are so good by the way! The breakfast was also nice with options to choose from.

I stayed here for 3 nights! Since day 1 hotel room was very hot, literally could not sleep all 3 nights! The bathtub water did not drain, there were bugs in the bathroom sink and to add a lot of holes in the bathroom. The refrigerator did not work at all either. Other than the staff being so amazing from day 1, I will not be recommending this hotel.

Not a great hotel. The rooms are in poor shape. The first room I was given I had no working heating or air-conditioning. They gave me a second room, and on the second day, the air-conditioning they quit working as well. They did come up and fix it later in the day. They don't have microwaves in the room, but you can request one of their floating microwaves that they have, but that doesn't mean you'll get one. I sure didn't. But then, I was only staying seven days (sarcasm intended) I was entertained by them drilling into the concrete wall on the room next door over and over at length one of the days. That got tiresome. The towel service is hit and miss. I got new towels once in 7 days. Never got a room housekeeping or new sheets. Half of this hotel has a poor view that is of the center lounge area. If you have a room on the first floor, all you see is a fence that is between you and the center lounge. No view at all. They might as well not have a window. Upstairs on the higher floors you can look and see all the roof trusses. Take a look at the photo out of my window. Another bad thing, if you have a number of loud people in the center lounge area, which there was on both Friday and Saturday night, you can hear them up in your room. On the Saturday, kids were yelling and shrieking down there. The front desk can hear all of that and will do nothing. You have to Pay for parking, even though this is not in a busy area with no businesses close by and there are plenty of spaces. It's basically a cash grab. So it's in poor condition, noisy, housekeeping is practically nonexistent, microwaves are unheard of, and they nickel and dime you. One other thing, the company I am with negotiated a paid breakfast that the hotel did not honor. Would I come back? No. This is the worst Doubletree I have ever stayed at. It is not worthy of the Hilton name. I have stayed at many Doubletrees, and most are nice. Not this one. The best thing you could do if you're planning it staying at this hotel is to cancel your plans and go somewhere else.

I normally love staying at DoubleTree properties, the warm cookies and comfortable rooms are usually a highlight for me. Unfortunately, this location in Austin missed the mark during my recent one-night stay. My check in experience was uncomfortable. I did roll up with my suitcase in sweats. She was super nice to the person in front of me and it was like she was so disappointed the moment she saw me and became super short. I heard her explaining where breakfast was for the person in front of me, it somewhere one 2nd floor but never took the time for me. It was like ok, you're using diamond Member points, can I have your card and your room number is here. I only remember this because if she would have explained where breakfast was to me I wouldn't have ended up on the 2nd floor hallway with all the rooms roaming around. The room was extremely cold, and I was surprised to learn that I wasn’t allowed to turn on the heater. There also weren’t any extra blankets available, which made the night pretty uncomfortable. On top of that, my allergies flared up badly. I noticed the vents, especially the ones in the restroom, looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, which definitely didn’t help. The next morning, I went down for coffee and was told the coffee is never hot after asking for a hotter cup, that it’s a common complaint, and that there’s nothing they can do about it. Not exactly what you want to hear first thing in the morning. Overall, I really wanted to enjoy this stay because I usually love DoubleTree hotels, but this particular visit just wasn’t great. I’m hoping the hotel addresses these issues, because the potential is definitely there, it just needs some attention.
