Embassy has, in recent years, updated it's "look and feel" and transitioned away from the big square with the deep atrium in the middle. Apparently, somewhere along the way, they seem to have invited Julie Felss Masino to take part in the effort. It's quite obvious that the redesign was done, entirely in power point, by an attractive young woman probably 25-35 years of age. Also obvious is the fact that they neglected entirely to first set up a room and have a test audience experience it for several nights before "putting it into production" so to speak. The hotel and it's rooms are attractive and elegant - but completely devoid of real world thought and comfort considerations. 1. Lighting: This is primarily how I know that a young woman designed these rooms. First, whomever it was is not yet old enough to have to get up in the middle of the night to relieve themselves. They installed automatic, motion sensor lighting in the bathroom that flips the bathroom lighting, roughly adjacent to the candlepower of the SUN, to full blast, the instant the sleepy guest sets foot in the bathroom looking for the toilet. The vanity mirrors are set up like Hollywood makeup mirrors (this is how I know it was a young woman) so that she can do her makeup to flawless perfection. However, when you're an older, more seasoned, traveler whose bladder demands multiple trips to the restroom every night - this is simply an assault to the senses and renders it impossible to remain in anything other than full wakefulness. Gone is the cheap little nightlight that would let you see just enough to find what you needed and return to bed - replaced by a slap in the face that there is apparently no way to prevent. I tried repeatedly to figure out a way to shut this off, but it overrode my attempts every time. If you REALLY are hell bent on providing automatic motion sensing lighting, then some nice 2 watt puddle lights (you could even implement some banding by putting your logo into the floor puddle) that provides just enough lights to avoid walking into walls. LEAVE THE MASSIVE CANDLEPOWER LIGHTING ON A MANUAL SWITCH! 2. Seating: I've got to admit, the living room furnishings LOOK attractive when you first enter the room. They look modern and pleasant - until you attempt to actually set on them. The couch has roughly the same body support as that bean bag chair I had when I was 13. My wife and I attempted to watch a movie and 10 minutes in realized we were both in pain. The thoughtful little footrest cubes slid away from the couch when we put our feet up resulting in us chasing them multiple times until I finally got up and wedged a towel under each one. Clear evidence again that the room designer was young and has no weary back or aching hips. 3. The TV: Someone has connected with the chosen TV vendor and had them program the TV's to provide a maximum volume level of a loud whisper. Even at the max of 50 - we were both looking at each other asking "What'd they say?". Is wall insulation really that expensive that you couldn't just put sound insulation in the walls between the rooms instead of insulting your older guests who may not have perfect hearing? 4. Bedding: This goes out to all of the Hilton chains who have, for some reason, NEVER figured out that there needs to be a happy medium between tissue paper thin sheets and the Antarctic expedition comforter good for use in -50 degree weather. Come on - do you not ever stay in your own hotels? REALLY? You're either freezing under a single sheet or soaking in a puddle of your own sweat. There is no middle ground with Hilton.

Pretty cool hotel with great amenities, very modern opposed to other Embassy Suites being that it’s recently constructed. Receptionist were excellent and very friendly. Breakfast looked good but was ok at best, lots of “steamed” items like the potato’s and sausage weren’t actually cooked but steamed to be heated up, omelettes were good.Female bartender asked me was I staying there when i tried to get a drink , guess I didn’t fit the look of a person that stays at an Embassy 🤣, don’t ever ask me that again bartender girl….also don’t recommend storing real firewood inside the building you can definitely get termites like that

We had a wonderful stay at the Embassy Suites in Pigeon Forge. Comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed in Room 603 and I never heard the restaurant traffic above us however I can understand if you stayed on the lounge side you might hear more noise and movement at night. Parking was plentiful and close to Dollywood and local attractions. Staff were friendly and hospitable. The only problem I faced was during breakfast at the omelette station ... egg whites were off and I could smell them. Not sure if egg whites had expired but smelled spoiled. Otherwise, we will be back and enjoyed our stay. Room was spacious and clean.

We made our booking through a third-party site that clearly listed Embassy Suites Pigeon Forge. When we arrived, we were told—without any courtesy or willingness to help—that our reservation was actually for another property called Tempo. The Embassy staff blamed the third party for the confusion, while the third party insisted it was Embassy’s error. Meanwhile, the Embassy staff displayed unprofessional behavior, making faces and smirking instead of trying to resolve the issue. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were told there was none available. No one made any effort to offer a solution or even a basic gesture of appeasement. As someone who works in retail, I understand the importance of good customer service—and this was the complete opposite. We ended up driving half a mile to Drury Inn, where the staff was welcoming, the service was far better, and the experience overall was much more pleasant. I have been an Embassy customer my entire life and this treatment by Embassy staff makes me rethink my option in future.
