While the hotel was clean and the front desk was relatively nice, my experience here wasn’t great. I feel miserable. I drove 9 hours to relax. I booked a 2 bedroom queen room but was given a handicap room when I arrived. Fine. (That means no bathtub.) My son uses the toilet and it makes a revolting noise for several minutes. I’m talkin loud! They move up one room over. Thankfully there was a bathtub and I was able to relax some. My son took a bath the next morning and I decided to stay another night because I was exhausted. It took nearly an hour to work it out where we could stay in the room they gave us the night before. While my son was in the bath I get a rude guy at my door telling me that the room beneath us are having water leaking on them because we’re bathing and to stop using it. I ask for how long, he rolls his eyes and said he doesn’t know and walks off. I get my kid out of the bath and another person arrives to scold us for bathing. NONE of their pipes are OUR fault yet that’s how they kept speaking to me. I was then told I could shower but not a lot or for long because of the leak. They had no idea when a plumber would be there. I get they’re defensive and not wanting me to blame them but that’s not how you speak to a guest and try to make them feel like they brought this on from a bath. Clearly they were having plumbing issues before I filled the tub with water. If I hadn’t been exhausted and already paid, I’d have went somewhere else. You might have a better experience if you get lucky with your room. For this 2night stay? Not worth the money.

I checked in for what was supposed to be a one-night stay around 4 p.m. and had to check out before sunrise the next morning—around 5 a.m.—after being bitten by bedbugs. While hotel management did refund me for the room, they refused to acknowledge the presence of bedbugs. When I asked what steps were being taken to ensure the affected room and hotel were properly treated, I was told “the insects observed were identified as carpet or spider beetles, which are commonly found in rural areas and are attracted to fabrics rather than people.” If that’s true, can someone please explain why I woke up covered in large, swollen, and itchy welts? Why did I have to visit a walk-in clinic two days later after over-the-counter antihistamines failed to relieve my symptoms? Even the physician noted it was bedbug bites. (Apparently, they bite in sections of three.) I’m attaching photos and video evidence so future guests are aware of the risk they take when checking into this property. Bottom line: Do not stay here. The management’s lack of accountability and dismissal of legitimate health concerns are completely unacceptable.
