Disappointed at the minimal breakfast. The faucet was broken in the first room we checked in, so they moved us to another room. The internet didn’t work in the morning. Too pricey for such a subpar experience.

I'm writing this review after one of the most frustrating and concerning hotel experiences I've ever had - and I wasn't even physically at the property.
I received an email notification that a room had been booked under my name at this Tennessee location for tonight. Alarmed, I immediately called the front desk to report what I assumed was identity theft. The front desk employee told me "Victoria Marshall is here right now" and put me on hold. When I explained that I am Victoria Marshall and whoever checked in with my name was committing fraud, she consulted her supervisor. Rather than handle the situation, the supervisor told me to call the police myself.
So I did. I called the local police department and explained the situation. Officers actually had to leave whatever they were doing to respond to the hotel in person. When they arrived and investigated, they discovered that the guests who checked in were NOT Victoria Marshall, and here's the kicker - no ID was ever checked during check-in. The police informed me that the front desk had simply typed in my phone number by mistake when processing the reservation, which is why I received the notification.
When I called back to speak with the supervisor about this massive security failure, he made excuse after excuse instead of taking accountability. Let me be crystal clear about what went wrong here:
The front desk failed to verify ID at check-in - an absolute basic requirement of hotel operations
They entered the wrong phone number into their system
When alerted to a potential fraud situation, management told me to handle it myself rather than investigating immediately
Local law enforcement had to waste time and resources coming to the hotel to do what the front desk should have done in the first place
This wasn't just incompetence - it was a complete breakdown of security protocols that could have had serious consequences. What if this had been an actual case of identity theft or credit card fraud? What if someone with a restraining order had their location compromised this way? The police should not have to show up at a hotel to verify what a front desk employee should verify at check-in.
The employee who checked these guests in without verifying identification needs serious retraining at minimum. The supervisor who deflected responsibility instead of acknowledging this failure needs to understand the gravity of what happened. And frankly, after all this hassle and the waste of emergency resources, the hotel should be offering compensation.
This entire mess could have been avoided with one simple action: checking an ID at check-in. It's hotel management 101, and this property failed spectacularly.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this location until they can demonstrate they've implemented proper security protocols and trained their staff adequately.

Well appointed, if a little dated but really homely feel. The staff were amazingly helpful and knowledgeable about the local places. The breakfast was good and the location perfect
