Having stayed in many Hiltons over the years, I was expecting their typical high standard, and was disappointed to find it did not meet that expectation. We arrived at the hotel during dinner break on Friday at around 5pm, and there was only one attendant at the front desk. For some reason, it took over 20 minutes to check in, leaving all of us sitting in the very cramped, poorly air-conditioned, and low-ceilinged lobby waiting on our rooms. The common area and hallways, usually the nicer part of a hotel, was dingy and half-renovated. Of the two elevators serving the 5-floor hotel, only one was in service, and it smelled very old and made rather concerning sounds. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room and that my bed was made during my stay without even requesting it, but the rooms themselves were just old. It seems they just painted it and added some wireless chargers (which were a nice touch) but not much else. Breakfast selection was pretty small. Overall, I have to say I think Hilton is making a big mistake diluting brand with the Spark chain, and do not plan on staying here in the future.
