Location is surrounded by a lot of options if you're unfamiliar with the area, but is about 30min from downtown Memphis if you're looking to spend time down on Beale St.
- MMMatthew6 days ago2.0I don't recall Hampton having such weak coffee and hard beds. One of the two elevators plus the third floor hall smelled of marijuana. Our first room smelled incredibly strongly of citrus disinfectant. We changed rooms to a different floor, but the new one smelled just as strongly. I've never changed hotel rooms due to scent, but this was almost overwhelming. We were too exhausted from driving all day to change hotels, so we stayed. On the plus side, everything looked very clean, the price was reasonable, and the front desk staff were very pleasant even though one wasn't dressed professionally.

Once in the room, dirt smudge was all around the edges of the tile, missing mirror, dust visible on the carpet an inch and a half from the wall, flecks of trash on floor in the room, lots of scuff marks on the wall, dead bedbug under the mattress pad. We should’ve taken the hint and instead we asked for a different room. The next room was on the third floor and again the hallway and room carpets were filthy. We went back to the front desk and they kindly refunded us.

I wasnt there much except to sleep but everyone who helped me was very kind and proffesional. I didnt get her name, but she had long dreadlocks in a bun and was the most helpful to me. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Shower was perfect to unwind my day after working. Beds were so comfortable I didnt want to leave. I enjoyed my stay very much and if/when I have to be back for another job I will definitely be staying here
