  We selected this hotel because we had been on the road for 8 hours and this place is a Hilton product. We were looking for a peaceful, clean place to rest up for the next day’s driving. We were disappointed with our experience there. There were more than three staff people visible, but only one person was doing both answering phones and checking guests in. We, and several other carfuls of people, had to stand there and wait for more than 25 min. By the time she got to us, the check-in person was stressed and impatient with our questions. Once we got in our room, we saw that it had not been cleaned from the previous occupants’ stay. From bits of candy and dirt on the floor to a refrigerator full of somebody’s leftover takeout, to the incredible loud guests above us, we agreed that we will avoid returning here. Please note, if your intention is for your young family to enjoy the massive waterpark shared by three hotels at this location, you might have a more satisfactory experience.

  This is ideal for ANY family traveling! Hotel connected to the waterpark, restaurant/bar, and arcade! Rooms are spacious with everything you need, even a dishwasher! Breakfast is okay, could use an upgrade. Downside- breakfast is not until 7 and for sports families with 8am games this is not convenient. Second morning we left around 7:10am to head to the fields and there wasn't even coffee ready.

  The room was clean and well appointed, typical of a Home2. Staff was pleasant and the breakfast was better than the usual. However... be aware that it is located next to a water park. We didn't consider that when booking, it was just convenient on our way home through Rapid. There were a LOT of young children in the hotel. Not a problem if you're on the top floor or if you're traveling with young children who have parental oversite. We didn't have either of those and were woken up at 6:30am by 2 or 3 kids running back and forth in the room above ours. It continued until we left. Also, the hotel apparently doesn't enforce that kids be dressed (beyond swim trunks) or wearing footwear in the breakfast buffet area. Consider this review a cautionary tale if you're booking there without children in tow.

  I had a great 2 week stay at Home2Suites! The kitchen was well pointed and the room was spacious. Hot plate and grill access were perfect additions- made cooking a breeze! Air conditioning was quiet yet efficient, water pressure was decent, and there was plenty of storage! The counter staff was exceptionally friendly and eager to help with any needs or requests. House keeping did an excellent job. Laundry facility was fast and affordable and breakfast was great! I loved being able to throw together a breakfast sandwich quickly to eat on the way to work. And let's not forget about included admission to WATIKI!! Evenings were never super crowded, which made grabbing a cocktail and taking a few spins around the lazy river a perfect unwind to a long day. Big hot tub too! The bartenders at Sliders were super friendly and didn't skimp on the pour! Food selection was limited, but tasty. I will definitely be staying here again, anytime I come through Rapid City!
