I have stayed in a lot of hotels in my 30 years of living, but Tru Hotel stands out above every one of them. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, the bright and vibrant colors make the entire property feel welcoming and peaceful. Even the outside is so inviting it puts you in a good mood before you even walk in. The lobby is wide open with a modern layout that feels both spacious and relaxing. It has that perfect mix of energy and comfort that makes you want to hang out instead of rushing to your room. The colors, the lighting, the design, everything works together like it was made just for people to enjoy. The rooms are just as impressive. My bed was extremely comfortable, genuinely one of the most restful nights I have had in a hotel. Everything felt clean, fresh, and thoughtfully designed. Tru Hotel somehow manages to feel fun, cozy, and peaceful all at the same time. After traveling and staying in countless hotels, I can honestly say I have never seen anything put together so perfectly. Tru Hotel is on a level of its own. I highly recommend staying here.

Our room was not super clean, bathroom sink was clogged there was hair in it from prior guests. The wall in bathroom had some brownish dried drops. Our room fridge was defective we woke up to find it ajar and we had meds in it... Went to tell staff upon departure and the front desk person was very busy watching TV in the kitchen area. Did not want to interrupt them at 5 am. Also upon check in the clerk was not super nice or welcoming acknowledgement of our Hilton status was ignored. My transition to a Marriott loyalty member was strengthened after this visit.

Rooms are different than what you may be used to at a traditional hotel. There are no dressers or drawers to store anything at all. You store items on a pole that loops with 4 hangers. Or some hooks on the wall. There is no safe for use. The only plus was a small mini refrigerator to store a few drinks. The young lady that checked us in didn't give us any information at all on where anything was, what time breakfast was, where it was.... nothing. A member in my group had his keys already set aside for him, he was about to find the elevator ( she didn't tell us that either) when he was called back. She changed his room. He went up to his room and walked in on 2 gentlemen laying in their beds. He than went back down to lobby, she gave him another room only to find that room for was open. He checked the room to make sure it wasn't occupied but he was quite upset. We than decided to hang out in the lobby to do some work and 2 other guests showed up with complaints of their room. The lobby had no coffee, cold water instead of hot (for tea), barely any items to purchase to snack on. It was just an overall disappointment. Not to mention the train the comes through town at midnight sounding its horn as if its not a weekday and folks have to wake up early. I had very high hopes of this hotel. Sucks to have had this experience.

Being treated by Lisa a manager gave me high hopes of the hotel. They were dashed when we entered our small, cramped room. No microwave, coffee maker or even cups to rinse out after brushing teeth. My husband found a microwave in the lobby area, which was so low he had to double over to use it. Then our toilet blocked and my husband was given a plunger to unblock it himself. Horrible experience, regardless of the rate we will NEVER stay here again
