Convenient to I-95 and I-20, the new Homewood Suites by Hilton Florence™ is minutes from Florence Regional Airport. Our extended stay hotel is in an excellent location for doing business with companies such as ABB, GE Healthcare, Johnson Controls, Monster.com or Otis Elevators. We are just one-half mile from Florence Center.
A theater, restaurants, shops and the free trolley stop are all a short walk from our Florence, South Carolina hotel. Other attractions include historic downtown, a stock car racetrack, a tennis center with clay and asphalt courts, and a university performing arts center.
As our guest, you’ll have access to a lounge, barbeque grills near the saline pool, an outdoor sports court plus a fitness room. Miss your video games? Try out the fun game systems in our media room. We also serve a hot full breakfast daily and a weekly evening social on Wednesdays from 5pm to 8pm, both included with your stay.

I called the hotel early afternoon to let them know we would be arriving late, between 2am and 3am. The receptionist stated that was not a problem and that she would let the night staff know. We arrived at 2:45am, exhausted. No staff present at the desk, a note stating that the staff was helping other guests and would be back shortly. We waited in the lobby for over 45 minutes. We searched the entire first floor of the hotel for a staff member to help us check in. We called the hotel several times and listened as the phone continued to ring in the lobby unanswered. We called every Hilton number we could find online, no one answered, chat help bots never connected us to any assistance. I even downloaded the hilton honors app, created my account, and attempted digital check in which was, of course, unavailable. All this while waiting and searching the hotel. With two cranky, tired toddlers and three exhausted adults. After about an hour of waiting with no staff member in sight and no one answering any phone call, we decided to cut our losses and drove to the hotel next door. Luckily, they were able to get us into a room immediately at a discounted rate and apologized for our experience with their competitor next door. Unluckily, the hotel next door did not have any suites or rooms with additional beds. So, here we are, three full-sized adults and two toddlers smooshed into two tiny beds and my hopes for a few hours of rest are fading.
- WDWard DoughertyDec 3, 20255.0A very nice Suites hotel in the Florence area. Homewood Suites started business in 1989 from Omaha, Nebraska. It departed from the hotels of the ear by offering people travelling a place with 2 rooms, a kitchen and a much more relaxed stop along the way. It must have worked because today there are now over 550 of these worldwide.The Florence location opened in 2009. It is right off I-95 and very easy to get to. There is plenty of parking around the hotel. The driveway has a covered entrance. The foyer has the checkin to the left and the breakfast area straight ahead. Check-in was very easy and the staff was very professional and friendly. The place was spotless/ Our room was a very nice two-room suite. As you walk in there’s a full living room and a real kitchen (full fridge, stove, dishwasher – the works). Bedrooms in a separate room and had two queen beds. One drawback was that there was just one nightstand between the beds, so if you both like a lamp and a phone charger spot, you’ll have to share or get creative. Honestly, I loved it. Clean, convenient, tons of space, and friendly staff. Perfect place for a short or long stay. I highly recommend it for my fellow travelers.
