Extremely Disappointed with My Stay – Especially as an Honors Member
I am a loyal Hilton Honors member and almost always choose Hilton properties when I travel. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Home2 Suites has been the worst I’ve ever had with the brand.
I am 9 months pregnant and checked into this hotel close to midnight due to the heat being out in my home. Despite arriving late, the property was not full. This location shares a building with the Garden Inn, and when I arrived, I had to greet two separate front desks before anyone acknowledged me.
When I finally spoke to the front desk agent, I asked about parking since the overflow lot was nearly full and cars were parked along the sides of the building. Instead of offering assistance or guidance, I was told to park in the overflow area.
Once I got to my room, I discovered I had been placed in a worn-out handicapped room at the very end of the hallway. The tub had visible mold, and the overall condition of the room was poor. After being in the room for a couple of hours, I realized the heat was not working either.
I called the front desk multiple times for help, but no one answered—despite two staff members standing at the desk when I walked by earlier.
This experience has been incredibly disappointing, especially given my condition and the loyalty I’ve shown to Hilton over the years. I expected a clean, comfortable, and safe room for the night, but instead, I’m left frustrated and uncomfortable.

Love this hotel. I've stayed here a few times when ive had to travel for business. I've dined at the bar, had the complimentary breakfast and gotten snacks from the hotel lobby. Truly feels like home and the staff is wonderful. They have always been eager to cater to any needs I've had during my stay.

Stayed last night 11/6 leaving today, 11/7. In town for Jonas Brothers Concert. Not too thrilled about the overall experience with Home2Suites.
Arrived at 2:50 on Thursday. Check in is 3. Didn’t get checked in to our room until 5:50. THREE HOURS!!!! We waited for the housekeeping staff to clean the entire hotel. We weren’t the only ones. At least 6 other groups of people got stuck waiting around with us. With each ask, the girl at the front desk found a different excuse. At 3:45 it was “they’re inspecting now.” At 4:30 it was “they’re sweeping the 3rd floor, 2 more to go.” Asked to speak to a manager, he came and said he would “personally check on it” and never came back !!!! Finally at 5:50 they started checking people in. No compensation. No apology. Even after watching 4 housekeepers gallivant around the lobby. I ended up having to get ready in my car and ultimately paid $170 to stay in the hotel room for LESS than 12 hours. Quite literally just to sleep. And when we finally got to the room, the fridge wasn’t cleaned out and the toilet had someone else’s hair in it. 3 hours of waiting for them to clean and it still wasn’t clean. I don’t mind being patient and waiting, I understand there are things going on and people are busy, possibly short staffed. But having to wait for 3 hours to check in is insane.
I also watched multiple other hotel workers walk around, talking, and one guy even told my fiancé that “I don’t got nothin to do with any of y’all’s problems.” Which in reality, no, he doesn’t. But when you have a lobby FULL of people waiting HOURS past check in, it should be all hands on deck, no questions asked.
The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars is because of Ms. Rosemary at the front desk. She was extremely kind, helpful, and did everything she could to get us in to a room.

The receptionist on Hiltons side was horrible. She was very aggressive, not friendly. We had a reservation of 6-rooms only 3 were available at checkin. We can't check in the remaining rooms until 7 pm. She began telling us what we should do prior to checking in the NEXT time. On to the next issue. Upon placing our business card in for the incidental (each were approve) she stated that they didn't clear. After checking in the 3 rooms we have a total of 7 incidental chatges. I explained to her here are the 7 pending charges and she begins to state that once we check in the last 3 rooms we will have to provide 3 more incidental charges. Smh. Then I asked her for management and with a devious smirk she stated, "There is no manager available. I will be contacting management officials ASAP.
