We had an excellent stay. The staff was incredibly helpful! A huge thank you to Ashley, Jacob, Rocky, the gentleman who brought our car up today (1/6) to load it, and the young lady at the front desk in the evening of 1/5 were all so welcoming, informative and went above and beyond. The staff at breakfast were also very friendly. The rooms were huge and clean. It was so close to King Street, the Charleston museum, about a 20 minute walk from the battery and rainbow row. We would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was well laid out with great common areas. Our room was spacious - it was a double queen with sofa so kids didn't have to share a bed and had a little kitchenette. It was walking distance to alot of places and about a mile from the famous market. You do need to valet a car but we prepaid for it in our package. I'd stay here again.

First the good On Meeting St and a short walk to King St. The breakfast was good and they have three waffle stations. Andrew at the valet station was friendly and helpful. Now the bad and I’ll preface it with we arrived the day after Christmas and they may have had their B team in place. No syrup on the first day. This was not communicated so everyone had a waffle and no syrup. Do restaurant laws prevent you from going and getting some syrup. They ran out of water too. Can they not Instacart when there are shortages? Shampoo in shower was empty (isn’t checking that on some sort of checklist). We requested shampoo and a blanket while we were out. We got hand soap and no blanket. When we finally got the blanket three requests later it was taken after the next time they cleaned the room. Since the hotel has a contract with airlines you cannot ask for late check out until 7am the morning of your checkout. While not actually the fault of the hotels there is no place to your dog without them getting covered in burrs. Other hiltons in the area are adjacent to parks. We asked about upgrade and the check-in person was like “Nope.” In general the front desk was always appearing to be overwhelmed and wanted to be somewhere else.

Had a frustrating experience at Homewood Suites in Charleston this past weekend. Elevators were inoperative a couple of times during our three day stay and we were forced to find the stairs which are through unmarked doors in an "staff only" hallway. Multiple occurrences of the front desk staff being absent or unresponsive when called from the room. On our last day, we had no hot water in our third floor room. Called the front desk twice over a 15 minute timespan with no answer. Called the Hilton Honors help line who claimed to speak to the manager and said they would resolve. 2 hours later no one had done anything and we checked out. Super frustrating and when I called the Hilton Honors line to share my experience, they were helpful, but said the manager was unwilling to compensate and said we did not wait long enough for the hot water? What the heck? Rooms were fantastic, clean and the location in Charleston is great! Get that hot water fixed and please work on the elevators...

My family and I stayed in this hotel and we really couldn't ask for more. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and the location is superb. there's restaurants nearby and for a nightcap. We definitely went to 1 of the best wine bars we all thought which was blum coffee and wine bar on meeting street in downtown. They offered their own private parking lot. However, it was full, so we just parked nearby. The best bottle of wine prices in the entire downtown area. Also, wine by the glass was very inexpensive. As well and just high quality altogether. the next morning, we stopped by for their coffee since they open at seven a m.And their gingerbread cappuccino was just amazing. We loved homewood suites by hilton and how convenient everything around was.
