This is my go-to hotel when visiting Charleston. It meets my needs with a great location. I appreciate the free breakfast, and the staff are great. It does need some updates but it is clean. During my most recent stay, my room (227) was a bit disappointing. The view sucked and included what looked like a bird carcass. I also kept hearing banging noises near the door that I couldn't figure out the cause. I'll hope for better my next trip.

The hotel was immaculate! The nicest HI we've ever stayed in, in a beautiful city. Our evening at the Charleston Music Hall was, maybe, 50 steps away and the alleyway between the two held numerous places for drinks and dining. Our walk the next day easily led us everywhere we wanted to go. Window shopping, stopping in a few places and buying a pair of shoes I'd been eyeing online from OluKai. So nice to shop at real stores, beside outlets!! Lol. So tired of outlets and that's all we have in Bluffton!! We've spent lots of time in and around Charleston but never have we stayed in this area and I do think we've found our new place at this Hampton Inn. We couldn't have asked for a better reception at the desk, all staff was amazing, having a parking deck was over the top convenient! After check-out the car was able to remain the rest of the day instead of moving the it elsewhere.

Great experience here. The rooms did show their age a bit. Clean and comfy but the bathroom definitely could have used some updates and no fridge in the room.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice location, but the rooms were super outdated, which would have been fine except for our air conditioner did not work. Stayed at 76 all night… mentioned this to desk clerk when we left… she barely acknowledged when I told her. Good luck to the next guest staying in that room!!

Room would have gotten a higher rating if it had a microwave and/or a mini fridge. We also got the room with the absolute worst view. We couldn't even open the blinds. I hated it.
