Nice hotel and a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. In fact my son left a hat behind and the hotel staff quickly assisted me in getting it mailed back to us.

No idea why this hotel gets decent reviews. Need to point out that my elderly mom wanted to go on a group trip to SC, so switching hotels was not an option, unless we wanted to pay for additional hotel & Uber back & forth to meet the group. Room 327, the worst water pressure ever, like the shower head was partially blocked. Non-maintenance guy came up, looked at it, said he would let maintenance know. In the 3 nights left of the stay, no one ever looked at it (I left the shower head between settings & it never moved) Thankfully, the tour guide had an extra paid room (hotel said there weren't any other rooms available) Room 323, shower had more pressure, main bathroom light didn't work & the shower drain cover is missing. So, I showered there, drug all my stuff back to 327, so I could get ready. Reported it, in the final 2 nights, no one did anything about either. That night, we were back late. Since all my stuff was in room 327, I thought I would just stay there. Thankfully, I didn't turn off the light, as there was a live cockroach in my bed, went back to 323. Called the desk 3 times (not back to back), no answer. There is rarely anyone at the desk. Finally walked down there because none of the issues were being resolved & they should know about the cockroach, so they can spray & no one else gets a surprise. MARK was the only rude employee. He walked in the front door very unprofessionally dressed, with his head buried in his cell phone. I thought he was a guest. Imagine my surprise when he walked into the office area. When I say he was condescending, understatement. He told me that he was only outside a few minutes & that I could have not called 3 times. Apparently, I just felt the need to lie about something so minute. He then decided to explain the life cycle of a cockroach to me, as if I have never seen them before. He truly did not care. Did I finally get mad, yes. Did one cuss word slip out, yes. Do I feel good about that, no. Imagine being pushed to the point that it happened, because someone obviously does not care and/or hates his job. Room issues not being resolved, MARK pointing out that I was from up north & do not understand bugs in the south. All issues, being quickly dismissed, because he didn't want to hear it. He should not be in customer service. Needless to say, that topped my crappy stay & I hope this review helps redirect others to find a better hotel.

Staying at this hotel was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel in my entire life. Don't expect to get any sleep. The walls are paper thin. House keeping is up bright and early, screaming at each other from across the halls. Continuous stomping and slamming of doors at all hours of the day and night. The ice machine on the first floor goes off every 10 minutes or so and also screams at you. The breakfast was mediocre and stale. The last night of my stay, the water was shut off for atleast 10 hours and when it finally came back on, it was brown. It was still brown the next morning at checkout. My bathroom had a constant dripping sound coming from the vent.

We’ve stayed at many Hilton properties and Spark Bluffton is such a refreshing concept. Clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed. Loved the 24-hour coffee cart and microwave access in the lobby — great touch! Breakfast was fresh and Mr. Andy made sure everyone was taken care of with a smile. Definitely a five-star experience!

Accidentally stayed at another Spark near Hilton Head Island and it was awful — came here the next day and wow, what a difference! This location is spotless, modern, and has an amazing team. Mr. Andy and Sabrina were both so welcoming and attentive. Hilton really did a great job with this brand — simple, efficient, and perfectly priced.
