  Stayed one night here. Went for a friend that was graduating from the marines. It was a great location for the hotel. It was a very nice hotel, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good. They are very festive too which I liked. So many decorations for Christmas 🎄 a Christmas tree on every floor. It was very pretty.

  First time staying at a Tru hotel, and we'll certainly look for one again, next time we need a place to stay while traveling. The Beaufort, SC location was very clean and modern. The staff was quite pleasant, and the breakfast selection was on point! The on-suite bathroom was very nice, and the modern shower, with actual water pressure, was a big plus for me (I'm sure that's relatable to anyone reading this). Nothing like driving all day, and then checking in to your hotel room, romanticizing about how wonderful that hot shower is going be, only to have it dribble out at you from some busted-up, greenish-colored fixture...not this time!

  This location is good for families visiting their Marines. Close to fast food restaurants and a gas station. The hotel itself was decorated nicely for Christmas. At check in, there was no one to check us in and we had to wait awhile for someone to come back. The option to get assigned a room automatically wasn’t working. The WiFi would not let us sign in and kept saying we weren’t valid guests. The room wasn’t the cleanest, there were hairs on the toilet seat. The shower leaked on to the floor. Room was cheaply decorated. The breakfast was just okay with a few hot options. The beds were semi comfortable, but you could tell they were well slept in. Room was dark as far as lighting goes. Overall I would not stay there again if I could choose. The trash also ran on Wednesday morning and it was so damn noisy at 5am. A bunch of metal clanking. Staff could have warned us.

  Stayed here last week for my son’s graduation. We are the type of people to clean up after ourselves, help take out trash and strip sheets. Do the same at restaurants , to help the staff. Well, we stripped the top sheet and under it was this large pee stain. We had a dog but it was not our dog at all, because it would have been on the top sheet also. Plus it was entirely too large to be from a dog, this was human pee. I knew I was smelling urine in the middle of the night occasionally but thought it was in my head because I don’t like staying at hotels, prefer air bnb, but they were mostly booked. This is disgusting and your hotel needs to make sure housekeeping gets talked to about this and it doesn’t happen again. Clearly they left the cover on and didn’t replace it when cleaning. The blankets were actual bed skirts too.. which was not comfortable at all. Also in the pet area outside there are a TON of stickies, like needles that punctured my dogs paws and he had them stuck all over his fur. We took him to a diff area because of this and there was none there, so I’m not sure how to combat this but he had over 20 stuck in his hair that was painful for him, especially when pulling them out. Someone needs to look at that. Staff was decent, breakfast was good.. location was perfect but the pee in the bed and the pet area needs to be addressed.
