Our Hampton Inn and Suites Newport/Middletown hotel is conveniently located two miles north of historic downtown Newport, Rhode Island. Local beaches, including Easton’s Beach, Second Beach, and Third Beach, are within five miles. Our Middletown hotel is the winner of Hilton's Lighthouse Award and Circle of Excellence Award. Our Hampton Inn and Suites Newport/Middletown is a 95-room property featuring 20 studio suites, four one-bedroom suites, and 71 traditional rooms. Standard room amenities include a microwave, minifridge, coffeemaker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, high-speed internet access, and cable TV with a complimentary movie channel.
Our hotel guests enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast buffet served daily, as well as our indoor heated pool, business center, and cardio fitness center. Guests will also enjoy the convenience of our Suite Shop, a guest laundry facility, and two meeting rooms.

The breakfast (included) was better than expected, with many choices of hot and cold items, ready at 06:00 and kept fresh all morning. The pool area was clean and inviting, although I did not use the pool this time. The fitness room was well-stocked and clean. Nancy was very helpful before and during my stay. I was offered a cookie at checkin, and there was a cofffee/tea service available 24/7 next to the front desk. The shower valve was hard to turn, and because of its location, I got sprayed with a little cold water at first. (Unwelcome because it's winter.) The glass shower door, valve and sprayer are just misplaced. I saw a housekeeper with shower curtains, so other rooms may have a different type of shower. I saw a couple of parked vans with the Hampton Inn name (plus the names of other nearby hotels) on them. I wonder if there is a seasonal shuttle service to Newport? I love the digital key and checkin-checkout through the app.

Complimentary breakfast had no business being as good as it was. Churro waffles, potatoes, cereal and different pastry, egg and meat options each day.
