We stayed in a king suite as a family of four. The room was spacious, the staff were friendly, breakfast was standard, and the pool was great — everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only thing that left me puzzled was housekeeping. Our room was set up with just two towels even though the reservation was for four people. After pulling out the couch bed and making it ourselves, I expected the next day’s cleaning to include four towels and both beds made up. Instead, only the main bed was refreshed. It’s a small thing, but it stood out — we’ve stayed at plenty of hotels and have never had a pull-out bed left unmade or so few towels for a family booking. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and a good place for families.

Really nice accommodations. A little removed from the downtown core. Terrific staff, especially a young man named Ahkman who was very considerate with a senior couple. If we return to Charlottetown,we will stay there.

We had a great stay at the Hampton by Hilton Charlottetown location, every staff member we encountered was friendly and forthcoming, and the grounds, public and breakfast areas were clean and welcoming. My family and I had two rooms during this stay, one standard queen room, and one accessible roll-in shower room. As we have a disabled adult dependent, we made sure the hotel we used had accessible rooms and beds that would accommodate the lift needed for their mobility. We were so pleased to find the Hampton to have been built recently enough to consider this need and ensure the beds had no obstructions underneath so the legs of the transfer lift can roll underneath smoothly. We do have an issue to address though. The accessible room flooring was half tile and half soft carpet. Pushing a wheelchair or transfer lift over carpet takes a great amount of effort on the part of the disabled person and/or caregiver. My family and I had two rooms during this stay, one standard queen room, and one accessible roll-in shower room. As we have a disabled adult dependent, we made sure the hotel we used had accessible rooms and beds that would accommodate the lift needed for their mobility. I was so pleased to find the Hampton to have been built recently enough to consider this need and ensure the beds had no obstructions underneath so the lift legs can roll underneath smoothly. We have already contacted the hotel and they replied promptly and assured us that they will see if their maintenance team can replace the carpet with a hardwood laminate. :) And that they will pass this information on to the owners who are building a Home2 By Hilton right next door. :) As I said, our hotel visit was great barring the above issues, and we were very happy with our stay. I truly hope my concerns will be addressed with respect and diligence. PS: The window exterior in room 207 needs to be cleaned. :)

They cleaned up a stained carpet while we were out touring. That was greatly appreciated.
