This is my favorite hotel in the Philadelphia area. I would stay here even if I had something to do further away than a closer hotel (especially in Northeast Philly which is where I often go).
Why you may ask? Because for one, it is a non-sketchy location. Two, the rooms are pretty good. I usually stay with others and sleep on a pull out couch. I'd say these pull outs are a cut above the other hotel's couches I've had the unpleasure of sleeping on. Three, l so I love the included breakfast which is of a quality even beyond what you'd get in an average restaurant I'd think. Like its a real breakfast, which is nice.
I'm not a huge hotel fan in general but this is easily the best I've stayed at like I said, in the Philly area.

I stayed for work. It's literally a 3 minute drive to the office. The service is good - effective and pleasant, but the facilities are VERY outdated

Stayed at this hotel on December 13th into the 14th and the power kept going out and Stayed out all night, room was cold and the water was cold. We had to check out early. No one came to let us know what was going on and Noone addressed the situation when we checked out. No apologies or nothing, we didn't get the free breakfast. The staff are unprofessional

I love love love this hotel. It's a bit on the pricer side but, it's always quiet and the they have terrific morning meal with a chef, hot and cold food that is included with your stay. There is a pool. Restaurant and wine invitational. This is THE place to stay for weddings and those chosing a quieter stay away from the party atmosphere around oaks.
