Honestly the hotel was fine. It's not a five star resort and its not the super 8 motel in Windsor... It was the lack of customer service that was the real issue. The staff/security were harassing at times.
Full context, we were there for a hockey tournament with a group of approximately 60 people. I've stayed at a dozen hotels/motels over the past few years for baseball and hockey tournaments and never experienced this level of undue disrespect by staff or security.
First off, there were conference rooms, but they would not allow us to rent them. We were moved out of the hallway to the lobby in the evening, which is to be expected.
After the first evening we thought we'd thought we'd found the sweet spot. Tidied up our mess at the end of the night, with a garbage bag they supplied, with the exception of some full coffee cups on the table that needed dumping, and some crumbs to be swept on the floor), only to receive a message from the tournament organizer that we were in danger of being removed from the hotel and the tournament as a whole.
The second night was much of the same, and we were on our best behavior.
The overall attitude of the staff from the time we arrived, was that we were an inconvenience, like when you walk into a restaurant as the staff sits down to eat their meal.
There were mid day patrols in the hallways. Two four year old siblings were yelled at for running from one's room to the other's, at noon. The reason given was that their 40lb foot steps were disturbing the people below.
Im not sure if its a difference in culture perhaps, or maybe their goal is to be more of a four or five star facility, but if thats the case don't fill your rooms for three nights with several hockey teams, and then lose your mind when people are trying to enjoy themselves.
100% will not stay at this location again.

Several times throughout 2025 we booked stays at this hotel because we were visiting our daughter at Laurentian. We kept returning because it was a solid choice and the best value. Rooms, washrooms and common areas were clean and well maintained. Stays included buffet hot breakfast. Easily located just as you enter Sudbury coming off Hwy 69. Booking and check-in were easy and never a problem.

Caution when booking online. All sales are final. I tried booking a room for the night not realizing the dates online where a few days in the future. When I called in they said the lady who could help would be in tomorrow! I needed a room that night so we paid for the room again under the premise Mel the customer service manager would help us the next day. When I spoke to Mel the next day she informed me the only thing they can do is switch the reservation. I needed it switched to the day we stayed witch was unavailable at the time because she was not there. After that Mel thought it appropriate to point out that had I used more due diligence when booking online this wouldn't have happened. So now I am out $250 and Mel belittled me by pointing out my mistakes and basically telling me to bad. Terrible customer service I'm sure I am not the only one who has ever made a mistake booking online

The room was nice, parking was easy, breakfast was fine. We went early and checked in, arrived back late and showed id and had to check in again, and the digital room key still wasn't working but we got a regular room key, went to our room and went to sleep as it was late. In the middle of the night the television came on saying Welcome. Needless to say, strange dark room, no idea where/if there was a remote or off switch, not wanting to turn on the light did not make for a good nights sleep. Fortunately (?) I had downloaded the app to try and get the digital room key earlier which had controls for the tv. Really annoying. Front desk just said they would let the manager know.
