- RRRNov 18, 20253.0Being only four years old, the Hampton Inn in Midland is still in good shape and a 3.5 rating is reasonable. It's probably one of the newer hotels in the area. However, typical hotel amenities were absent from the room and only available upon request at the reception desk. For example, who would've thought that a guest would need to request a shower cap! This does not reflect the Hilton brand. Definitely agree with another reviewer with regard to the mattress being too soft. My preference is also for more moderately sized pillows. If overstuffed, very "high" pillows hurt your neck, it might be a good idea to bring your own. The sink's faucet should be labeled with "hot" and "cold" as it was always a guess as to which way to turn the faucet! A small magnifying / shaving mirror attached to the bathroom mirror would have been a convenient addition. The breakfast was adequate with a variety of items. It was a surprise that there was no changing room adjacent to the pool. Hopefully, these comments will be taken into consideration and the suggestions implemented. Update: With regard to the Hotel's reply, guests do not know that the many amenities that you list are only available upon request at the reception desk. Guests should be informed at the time of check-in and a note should be left in each room.

Elia who prepared all the breakfast every morning was just a sweetie pie, super genuine and deserves a raise!! The hotel had coffee, tea and hot water out 24/7 for your enjoyment and convenience. The fitness room was beautiful, really enjoyed working out in the there. The pool was also spotless! The staff takes great care of the building and it shows. 10/10 experience.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Bonus with a fridge and microwave! I love the tall shower heads. Don’t see this often and as a tall person, very much appreciate! There are plenty of options with the included breakfast. Looking forward to visiting again!
