This hotel is a complete joke and management does nothing. They claim they inform people of the extremely LOUD renovations that they start at 7:30am on a Saturday but they 1000% do not. The manager on duty points to a sign on the opposite end of the check in desk and says it’s right here and there is also a notice in your room which there is absolutely nothing in our room to say that they will be starting renovations. So you get an extremely rude awakening from a dead sleep while people are banging, stomping and dropping stuff above you. For the price your pay do better to educate people about what they are getting into instead of just acting like we are the problem when we complain. The hotel is clean and the room is fine no complaints about any of that just what is mentioned above.

I have stayed here continuously for two months in the past, and the experience back then was genuinely excellent. The service was great, professional, and reliable. Over the years, I have returned and stayed here more than 20 times, always with a very positive impression. One incident that really stood out was when my son accidentally left his iPad here. The staff kept it safely in the security office, and I had to show my ID to retrieve it. That level of responsibility and care was one of the main reasons I trusted and continued choosing this place. However, this most recent stay was extremely disappointing. The front desk experience was particularly upsetting. A female staff member (Indian) had a very rude, mean attitude and came across as arrogant and dismissive. What was even more unacceptable was how deliveries were handled. When I had a delivery arrive, the front desk told the driver to “just leave it anywhere in the lobby — if it gets lost, it’s not our responsibility.” For God’s sake, this is completely inconsistent with the service I have always received here. In the past, all deliveries were properly stored in the security room, and guests were required to show ID to collect them. That was part of what made this place feel safe and well managed. The service quality has clearly declined, and this experience has seriously damaged my trust. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue, because otherwise you risk losing many long-term, loyal guests like myself.

The room was decent, however one of the cabinets had a hinge that had broken off from the cupboard. The shower glass was not sealed at the bottom and water would leak out onto the floor. The TV in the room was not able to play any streaming services. It was locked to playing Live TV only. We couldn't even cast our mobile devices or laptops to it. When we reached out to the front desk, they mentioned that the TV's were not smart TV's and would be upgraded during upcoming renovations. We were charged $67 before tip for a bottle of "house wine" which ended up being Jacob's Creek Moscato which is $13.55 at the LCBO. I understand the up-charges for the convenience of room service, but this felt excessively overpriced.

My son and I stayed at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre and Spa. The staff were welcoming starting at the front door. The rooms were impecably clean. We ate breakfast every day at their buffet. We could order off of the menu or go to the buffet. The buffet had everything that anyone could possibly want. I enjoyed the granola parfait, fresh pastries and fresh fruit. On Christmas Eve the hotel had an incredible buffet. The tables were filled with every kind of food ~ turkey cooked 2 different ways, stuffing, salmon, mussels, vegetables and desserts galore. The staff was attentive. They were prompt at taking our plates. There was soft music playing while we ate. My hat goes off to Frebin Padamadan, Food and Beverage Outlets Manager. He organized the food, drinks and staff. There was a large swimming pool. There was also a massive hot tub. The pool, hot tub and change rooms were spotless. I will definitely return to this resort.

My December 6, 2024 Executive Floor stay at the Hilton Markham Suites Conference Centre fell well short of Hilton standards. The most serious issue was cleanliness. My wife found multiple pills, including Viagra, on the floor of our room. The front desk response was dismissive, with no immediate room change offered and no real acknowledgement of how unacceptable this was. Several basic Executive Floor amenities were missing, including robes, a kettle, and coffee cups. I was told robes might not be available and that cups could incur a room-service charge. These are baseline expectations and shouldn’t require discussion. I later learned the Executive Lounge has been closed since February 2025, which was not disclosed at booking. While breakfast is an acceptable substitute, lounge access is a primary reason guests book Executive Floor rooms. There was also resistance to adding my Hilton Honors number because the reservation was made through a third party. While I understand benefit limitations, loyalty recognition should not depend on booking channel. Operationally, service was frustrating. There’s no dedicated line for Executive or status guests, and it often took over ten minutes for the front desk to answer the phone. The only positives were an excellent fitness club, a solid breakfast, and exceptional restaurant service. As a Hilton loyalist, this was particularly disappointing. After reaching out privately and receiving no response from management for over a week, it’s clear feedback isn’t being prioritized. The stay did not justify the Executive Floor premium, and I wouldn’t recommend it in its current state.
