A clean hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast is decent and the beds are comfortable. When booking your stay, try to get an upper floor with a view of the lake. It's beautiful.

-> Quiet, good sleep, clean, great breakfast! <-
There are few hotel choices in Elliott Lake, ON.
Check in was fast and friendly.
Internet was good (15.5 upload/15.5 download) but we ran into a problem with the tv.
All in all it was working okay but the one channel that we wanted was out. We waited for over an hour, nothing.
Went to the front desk. Rose did her darndest...
She checked to see if the channel was out on the TV there in the lobby. It wasn't.
She got another TV box transceiver and brought it to our room and set it up, it worked for about 10 minutes and then went out again.
She brought yet another transceiver to the room and set it up and it was fine.
Included breakfast was very good, with a large seating area (including some outdoors seating).
Clean and well-attended.
Hot foods included scrambled eggs, omelets, ham and potatoes.
There was a waffle maker, cereals, bread products and more.
If you were in an early morning rush, several "grab and go" breakfast bags were ready at the counter.
On a Thursday in October 2025: The price was $205 CAD before taxes

DOG OWNERS BEWARE!!! (I would rate lower if I could! 😤)
We stayed here for 2 nights with a well behaved dog, he had his own toys which left a TINY BIT of fluff on the floor.
And because he barked a few times because he is nervous, 1 y/o and first I
Time in a hotel, besides the odd bark he was a GOOD BOY
These people frames us saying he tore up a pillow.
We paid extra for our dog, and had one of the most expensive room and they set us up and frame us that our dog tore up a pillow and we "forgot to tell them"
He did even touch a pillow.
Don't stay here, especially if you have dogs. HORRIBLE service and treatment
EDIT!!!!
They are lying in the comments. There was NO DAMAGE. if there were we would have reported it. Whatever happened was not from my dog.
The pillow in the picture was clearly CUT OPEN with a knife. NOT A DOG
This is inappropriate and they are framing an innocent dog that did nothing wrong

My team and I were doing some work in the area. We stayed for 4 nights and overall had an okay experience initially. The breakfast staff in particular were very kind, helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The rooms were okay. They are the sort that 'look' clean at first glance, but then you look at the base boards, under the bed, under the sink and realize some spots are neglected. On par for a 3 star. We didn't mind so much. Unfortunately we ended our stay early due to bed bugs (2nd floor).
Now, I understand this happens. People travel and it is a hard thing to navigate. It was their response to the bed bug issue that really turned me off. We were a group of 5, one room was confirmed. The person was covered in bites, neck, arms, back and legs (we have the photos). They took photos of the live bugs they found around the zipper of the mattress cover. I also had bites on my arms and legs, with dried blood clumps and sheds in my sheets and around my head board.
The staff initially denied it, sent a housekeeper to look. She saw the live bugs and did eventually give in to admit they were there. My concern is they were looking for live bugs, housekeeping had zero awareness of the signs of bed bugs. They didn't know what to look for. The bugs hide during the day, only looking for living bugs isn't enough. Heck, by the time you can see bugs crawling over the mattress its a sign it is bad. For the bugs to get this bad, you are looking at minimum 6-8 weeks. The eggs alone take 2 weeks to hatch, and a few weeks to mature into adults. She said "I see nothing." Only for my travel companion to move the mattress and be like, "Right there, live bug."
Their response? Oh well we have no rooms to move you into. Okay, you're fully booked I understand. This happens, we travel a lot and know that. There are maybe 2 spots in Elliot Lake to stay. But they took no ownership of the situation, just gaslighting. No apology. No attempt to help us aside from providing us garbage bags. The staff were kind and cordial, but unknowledgeable and laissez-faire about the whole thing. We spent 60$ at a laundromat, packed up and moved. All we really wanted was one person to say, "We are so sorry this happened." Instead they tried to pin it on us. How it was suspicious it was only our two rooms. How they've never once had a problem until us. We've been there 4 days. This sort of infestation in a room takes weeks.
My advice? When you check in, ask them about their bed bug policy and remediation strategy. As a hotel they are obligated to give it. And maybe if more people ask, it'll force more staff to become aware. And maybe they'll be more compassionate rather than accusatory. So many of the staff are lovely people, we wanted to like this place....but left with such a sour taste after that experience.
