Reply to the hotels response:
Clearly the manager has their facts backwards. The booking was made by our friend, who then gave the hotel room to us, as they were not able to make it. I was not the one who made the initial reservations.
The manager was rude over the phone while explaining the amenities policy to us (bringing a guest to swim). Whether or not you felt he wasn’t being rude, we did. He also took about 10 minutes to actually check my wife in, because he was in his office.
This reply was very unprofessional by the company. Instead of acknowledging the many issues from my review, you focused on one specific part, and then tried to shift the blame onto us.
Do not book here.

My wife, daughter, and I stayed at this hotel last night. While there were some nice things, the overall experience left a subpar taste in my mouth. In this next section, I will cover the negatives and positives of the experience.
Positives:
- BLANCHE! We loved her so much. She was working the breakfast area, and she was an absolute delight. I would consider rebooking just to see her again. If a manager sees this, give her a raise.
- The hotel room itself was quite lovely. There was a window, a large TV, a large shower, and it just felt very fancy without actually being all that fancy.
- The hotel did have some amenities. There was a fitness centre, and a pool.
Negatives:
- The night manager was very rude to us over the phone. It was an unpleasant experience before we even started our evening.
- We didn't get to experience the pool due to the hours. They close it at 9PM strictly, which is odd considering it was a saturday night. The was also no hot tub, for anyone wondering. We wanted to invite a guest over to swim with us in the morning when it opened, but the night manager said we couldn't bring in one friend even though we are paying customers.
- The hot breakfast buffet was *okay*, but it could use some improvements. The eggs didn't taste like eggs. The juice machine was broken. There was only a TV on one side of the dining room, so the other side had to just stare into space.
- The comfort of the bed itself. The sheets had very.. unique textures. I would bring my own if I ever came back. The mattress, while initially comfortable, did leave my back aching come morning.
- Due to the layout of the hotel, and the way our room was situated, there wasn't much of a window view. We basically just looked at the back of superstore the whole time.
- The available amenities in the room. There was one towel, one roll of toilet paper, and one hand towel. For a couple that likes to shower multiple times a day, this was unideal. As for the coffee machine, there was only two cups. So if we wanted a drink, we had to rinse them out.
- The "free" wifi they offer is absolutely terrible. I couldn't even watch a YouTube video. They will instead ask you to upgrade to the "Premium Internet" for a daily charge.
- The lack of a bathtub made it impossible to bathe our daughter. Despite being advertised as kid friendly, with cribs and high chairs available, this was an unexpected disappointment.
Overall, would likely not return, but then again, you can't expect much from Brockville of all places.
