The hotel is older. They have signs saying they are renovating, which it needs. The rooms were okay. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only real complaint was the breakfast. The nuts were old, brown sugar was hard, no plain black tea, the eggs were spongy. It seems they are trying to save money by using things when they need throwing away.

Military at Rickenbaker Beware
Hotels or hotels. It's never gonna be ideal, but this place sucks. Try to get the hotel next to brew dogs. It's way closer to fun things to do. This is my third time to Rickenbaker to rescue a very broken jet. First two trips I really liked our hotels. They were both Hamptons as well.
This place is a landlord special. I show up go into room 201 unpack and the shower doesn't drain. I go downstairs and get a new room And they told me there aren't any kings left so I'll have to have two queens. Not a problem. They put me in room 209 between The elevator and one of the side exits that people use for smoke breaks at all hours of the night. That's cool. We're only working 12 hour shifts. Heaven forbid I not get the cruddiest room in the hotel after already having to move rooms. The walls are PAPER thin. You can hear everything.
This causes me even more problems when couple days in a guy from my unit calls downstairs because kids are running up and down the halls. Not a problem it becomes a problem when we have to call a half an hour later Because the staff didn't feel like it was important enough to come up the first time.
I can't believe I've still got three days here. I went downstairs to do laundry where I was informed that they don't have laundry facilities here looks like I'm Ubering to the nearest laundromat.
This place is grungy outdated, and gives off the vibe that the owner is trying to put his little effort in as possible. No problem. He's allowed to do that, but as a customer if you're looking for lodging, look elsewhere. There's way better hotels that are closer to fun things to do after a hard days work. Bro I cannot believe I had to write a whole novel about this place, but if you're at Rickenbacker, I would have added 15 minutes to the drive to not stay here and just have an average hotel experience.
EDIT: not even 10 minutes after I wrote this Review I had to listen to somebody's vulgar conversation about how neat she needs a drink after this week because her computer got hacked. Ma'am, I'm so sorry about your computer. Hampton Columbus East I shouldn't have to hear about it in my private room. Especially if I already got moved from a different sub standard room. I took a video So you could see how well I could hear the conversation. Unfortunately, Google reviews does not allow me to post videos.

There are phenomenal workers that do a great job, but others that are far from helpful. Great rooms, average(for the area) price range, but older hotel, and very slow internet speed to the point no work can be accomplished on the computer.
