Just a short drive from the Ohio River is Pt. Pleasant, WV which offers a variety of Farm and Homestead Museums such as John Gee Black Museum, Our House Museum, Pt. Pleasant River Museum, WV State Farm Museum, River Museum and the Waterfront Amphitheater that host several musical events. This is also the area of the Mothman. Just off State Route 7 along the Ohio River Scenic Byway is Pomeroy which plays host to the Big Band Blues Bash, the Annual Goldings and Ribs Festival. After all of this if you still have free time, stop by the Wayne National Forest that offers several trails for hiking.
