We spent one night here on our way home. Debbie was great at the front desk! Breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were nice. Would stay here again!

The initial lady working the front desk was great, the guy working in the evening didn’t seem to care about helping with a party in the room above us with all juveniles running, stomping, blasting music, with no adults in the room. Room was mediocre, carpets torn had a smell, tape left on the ceiling and string from balloons tied to the fire suppression system. Clearly housekeeping isn’t paying much attention to fire safety.

Every 6 months I am part of the Fitness Show that takes place at Avon Performing Arts Center. Since I live in Willoughby I wanted to stay close to the event so I reserved a room at the Hampton Inn. I am not someone who has stayed at many hotels in my life so I didn't check in for my room with any particular expectations. Once I opened the door to my room, my smile began. I was SO happy with my stay! The room was so clean and beautiful. The ladies that took care of me at the desk were very sweet. I got a great night of sleep and look forward to getting a room for the next Fitness Show in April 2026.

Hampton Inn the way I remember it: Being a Hilton Member for many years, I've witnessed the Hampton Inn change to a more modern, sleek, austere look. I called this cold, uninviting decor "George Jetson's Bedroom" (if you know, you know). What a welcomed change to step into our King Studio Suite and find comfy, functional furniture. There was an ergonomic desk chair (instead of a lowback cushioned desk chair), nightstands with drawers (instead of shelves jutting out of the wall), a regular sofa and ottoman (instead of a chaise lounge), real drawers in the furniture (instead of wire basket drawers in a cabinet), a mini fridge with an actual freezer for our travel ice blocks, as well as breakfast with a delicious variety of well-stocked offerings. And, I might add, the room, and the lobby/breakfast room, did not look dated or worn. We also stayed here on the way back from our destination, and asked for the same room. Too bad we only stayed for 1 night each way. The Hampton Inn that we stayed at, at our destination, had the cold and uncomfortable decor and lacluster breakfast. My only disappointment was that they have the smaller luggage carts, so we had to use two. And my continuing beef with Hilton is that they continue to not offer pet-free rooms for those with allergies, like many other chains do. We constantly have to ask for a room which "most likely" hasn't had a pet in it for a while. Now, let's address the surroundings. Yes, you look at a rundown, abandoned hotel and drive through the parking lot of an (almost) abandoned mall. However, there is another open hotel near them, as well as construction of a new hotel right next to them. It was not like this when we stopped here in 2022. However, if you research the area, the adjacent properties have been bought and plans have been made for an office park to be developed there. In the meantime, we found no shortage of chain restaurants to eat at while staying there. We felt comfortable moving about and were refreshed for the continuation of our trip.
