Our historic building is less than a mile away from Dayton's theaters and museums including The Arcade, Victoria Theatre, Dayton Art Institute, and Americas Packard Museum. Were a half mile from the convention center and less than two miles from the University of Dayton and Miami Valley Hospital. The National Museum of the US Air Force and Day Air Ballpark are nearby. Enjoy our on-site steakhouse, Bistecca.

    I only dined here, late on a Friday night. Downtown Dayton was abuzz with activities and events. Many of Hotel Ardent's guests seemed to be taking advantage of this in the middle of it all location. It was after 10pm before my friends and I sat down for a late dinner, but the food and service was excellent. Kudos to our server Veronika!

    We stayed here for a short weekend trip in September. The hotel is very clean and room was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and big with new fixtures. Although many reviews complained about the loud AC, we actually liked that, it worked as a white noise while we slept. We stayed for two nights, but house keeping did not clean the rooms during our stay. Also they did not provide hand washing soaps in the bathroom, we could have asked for it but just didn’t bother. Great perk of the stay was the downstairs restaurant Bisteca. We dined there both the nights we stayed and the food was amazing!

    I recently stayed at this property, and unfortunately, the experience fell well below expectations. Upon entering the room, it was immediately clear that cleanliness and basic maintenance standards were not being upheld. There was visible hair throughout the room, which gave the impression that it had not been properly cleaned prior to our arrival. Additionally, the air conditioner filter appeared to have not been replaced or cleaned for a very long time—potentially several years. This was evident just by looking at the top of the unit, and it raised concerns about air quality and overall hygiene. There was also an issue during check-in. The front desk attendant attempted to place us in a room that was not the one we originally booked. Although the situation was eventually addressed, it added unnecessary frustration to an already disappointing experience. Overall, this property requires significant improvement in cleanliness, room maintenance, and customer service. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, as these issues impact both guest comfort and safety. At this time, I cannot recommend staying here until meaningful changes are made.

    Do not go here!! UPDATE: one of the charges was finally corrected. Doesn’t change my opinion of the place though. Double Charged!! Waste of money and time! We booked online through the Hilton app and used the digital key to get into the room. Opened the door to find the room still dirty. Sheets balled up, obviously never cleaned. Go down to the desk and the woman (middle aged white woman, short hair, glasses) acted annoyed. While she may have just been annoyed that it wasn’t clean, she sure didn’t even so much as apologize to us. Then gave us a worse room with a view of the ac system which felt like a dungeon, instead of the theatre view we reserved. We order food from the restaurant where they say they are too busy to bring to the room. Fine, I come down to get it. We ordered a $60 steak that comes in a cardboard box with no utensils, napkins, plate, no ketchup for fries. Wasn’t even good. Whole trip was a waste of money. When I checked out I asked the one nice person there about if there is a price difference in theatre view vs what we got and she didn’t know but said the gm would call. Of course he didn’t. Checked my bank and we were charged twice for the meal. I called and had to leave a message. Still has not been fixed. BEWARE!!

    Very poorly designed room layout. Even premium rooms with extra square footage only have 1 chair, so are really ill-suited for couples. And the HVAC system is awfully noisy. Noisier than at any other hotel I can remember and I’ve stayed at hundreds. We switched it off completely as this is no way to sleep. Inquired about the room layout at the reception and was told that “all rooms are like that.” It’s unfortunate that we booked it for five nights and already spent a lot of money on a place that really is not meeting our expectations at all. Very disappointed. Will obviously not stay here again. Update: received an upgrade after talking to the hotel again and are now staying in a nice room with ample seating and where the HVAC system is much quieter. Appreciate the sincere effort to make things right.
