This place is awesome! Breakfast goes till 10 and the breakfast options are amazing and plentiful!! With the bonus of Churro waffles, mini chocolate chips, and bacon too!! They gave us free water bottles when we left . The pool and whirlpool area was really neat with all the plants and an open feel with so many windows. On a sunny morning you sure could soak up the sun on a deck chair! When we asked for a thick blanket for our baby to sleep on the floor, they offered us a play pen. The last hotel said we would have to book ahead for a play pen. So that was a win, even though we didn't use it. The beds were so comfy and the showerhead was very nice! The TV screen said "Welcome (our name)"...they definitely deserve 5 stars from us!! You can tell its not a new hotel but they've done well.

Great location with easy access to I-71/270. Close to eating establishments. Friendly staff.
Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus Polaris
I stayed here Tuesday night, September 30, 2025.
Not a safe area, I cannot recommend staying anywhere in the Polaris area. I have stayed here often in the past, about three years ago. This was my first time back in the area since late 2022. The hotel and rooms are still very nice, but after my car and at least 18 others in our lot and even more in neighboring hotel lots, I will not be staying here again. If it were an isolated event I could understand, but this has been going on for over a year in this area, and longer in the Columbus area. You would think by now hotels would at least have cameras installed, but no, they don't. They also have no security, although the manager assured me they were just approved by corporate to hire one, this week. Sorry, that is one day too late. I did see in reviews that this crime has been increasing but of course I thought it wouldn't happen again so soon, and that surely the police and hotels have taken steps to prevent this. They have done nothing. I don't blame the police, but I'm sure the folks in charge at the city do not care about the general public's car windows being smashed, every night somewhere in Columbus.
I spoke to folks at the job site I went to the next day and they said "Yeah, Polaris is becoming the new Easton." That is not a good thing....
My recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was dirty and had a strong smell of smoke as soon as we walked in. The curtains were covered in dust, and the overall cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. The bed sheets were ripped, and the blankets had an unpleasant odor, as if they hadn’t been properly dried after washing.
The swimming pool was uncomfortably hot, making it difficult to even breathe while inside. To make matters worse, the elevator was broken throughout our stay. We had to call the reception each time for assistance, and they often took a long time to respond sometimes not answering at all. When I asked how long the elevator had been out of order, I was told it had been broken for two weeks, which was shocking.
I had a three night stay booked but canceled after just one night because of all these issues. To make things worse, when we came back later to retrieve my kids’ forgotten life jacket, the house keeping staff initially denied seeing it. As I was leaving, I saw the same lady house keeping take it out of the trash and place it in a completely different room from the one we stayed in. This was extremely dishonest and unprofessional behavior.
Overall, this hotel needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and staff integrity. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere until serious changes are made.
Secure your cars when you stay here! We were there with two cars and got lucky that they didn’t get broken into. Overnight from Saturday 9/27 to Sunday 9/28/2025 at least six cars & trucks in the Hampton Inn lot did as well as two in the neighboring Fairfield Inn lot. We heard from other hotel guests that it wasn’t the first time, it had also happened a couple nights before. The desk clerk at the Fairfield Inn where we had other members of our family staying said that it happens all the time! I don’t know if we would have stayed here if we had known this!!
It seems like they primarily targeted family cars where things were visible on the inside and construction company pick up trucks that might have had tools inside.
The hotel had a shop vac and helped to get all the broken glass etc out, but I can’t imagine having to deal with this while traveling!!
If this is a known issue the hotels should get security patrolling the lots. We heard that there was camera footage but they were wearing face masks. When I did a quick google search I saw news reports about hotel parking lot car break ins in July as well as August 2025 in the Polaris area.
As far as the hotel itself: We had the 2 queen bed sofa suite for our family of five and it was clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was good, complete with eggs, ham, biscuits and gravy, waffles and fresh cut up fruit (pineapple).
The work out room is nice, two treadmills.
Ps: didn’t take photos but here is one from the July 2025 news article about break ins at the Hilton Polaris
