    No one was at the desk at check in. A guy finally came out and didn't say anything to me. Just stood at the computer. I greeted him and said I was checking in. My only response was, Name? I then told him we had a dog with us and needed to add the $30 pet fee. He said it's $75... I said, Oh, it said $30 online. He said, you booked through a 3rd party, those are never right. Ok... Swiped my card when the screen prompted me, then I was handed the room key. No other conversation was had. Nothing about breakfast, checkout, wifi, what room I was in... Nothing else was said. It was so bizarre. He was completely rude for no reason. I was then charged $90.40 for the pet fee when I got the invoice a few days later. So that should be a fun phone call. Even though it is a newer, clean hotel on our route, I will never stay there again due to the rudeness and bill discrepancy.

    Yes, just a Hampton, but it was quite noticeable how clean, upscale and comfortable it was. All the little touches were done right and immaculate. The room was very good (clean, large, ours was either still new or refurbished, no scents at all, everything in perfect working order) and actual room to set 2 open carry-on suitcases. Like I said, "just" a Hampton but a couple cuts above average.
