My son and I went today for the 250th anniversary! We got to see history come to life! Hard to describe how fun it is to see reinactnentments of our country and the true perspective of life back in 1770s.
History is beautiful. The fort is in great condition and all the demonstrations we saw, the stories we took part in were great! Live animals too! Grounds are beautiful and well kept. There is an elevator in the newest exhibit as well for handicap access 🤘
There is a cafe and restaurant on site! Thank god! And the food was really good! I got the mount defiance. A turkey club but in a full sandwich. Perfect. The raspberry lemonade is also, excellent. My son got a root beer float!
Good service and fun views.

We enjoyed our visit to this fort. It was quite a trek around the place. They had a reenactment of loading the cannons and shooting it off twice. I wasn't expecting that in the middle of October. A small giftshop and restaurant was on-site as well. Pretty expensive and wouldn't reduce price for veteran, unless you were from their state...not right.
