Overall the stay was okay; on this specific trip, the hotel was full of kids, running around, unsupervised... Waiting 5 minutes for an elevator because they were having a joyride, wasn't awesome after a really long day. And there is only the one elevator.

We had a great stay here—conveniently located to the racetrack, which we ended up walking to. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the facility and rooms were immaculate! Someone was always cleaning. And the breakfast was incredible—we expected the typical continental, but there was a great fruit salad, hot and cold items that were available and fresh (chia pudding, overnight oats, eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, breakfast burritos).
We are already planning to return for next year's race season!

My wife and I booked a room a week in advance for her 9yr Olds birthday party. All staff we encountered from booking to check in had knowledge of the party and said everything was fine. We check in yesterday and enjoyed the hotel. We used the pool, we ordered pizza and ate in the little dining area where breakfast is served. Then went up to our room for birthday cake. At around 8:30 am I get a call from the manager saying she heard we were smoking in the room. I was annoyed but stayed calm and informed her that we have kids here and we dont smoke inside anyway. She had a very less than fair or professional attitude about it. Then after I check out I get a charge for $250. I call to ask why and the manager once again gets on the phone with such an attitude and says the housekeeper said they smelled smoke so we charged you for smoking. We never smoked in the room I repeated to her again. Then she proceeds to tell me that the entire property is non đźš. Meanwhile there are designated smoking areas with ash trays. Is that for decoration? I think the first shift manager charges ppl just to take their money. I see other reviews with bogus charge complaints. Never again will I stay here. Then a manager asked my wife who told us we cld have the party there. Im pretty sure you shld address your staff members at that point. But she acted like she had a problem with us using the hotel we paid for. Customer service is way down. On top of which im an employee and hilton honors member.
This is an up date to the review. So the manager didn't like the review I left and fired my girl because of it. Proceeded to tell her that i shldnt have left a bad review being that im an employee of hilton. Im sure that's not a professional way to handle it. But who's expecting management there to do the right thing there at this point? And for the record I dont care what anyone thinks and im.prepared for whatever comes behind this review from wherever it may come. Just konw if $250 aint attached youll be wasting your time. And she had no time to answer the call relay from corporate. Had someone tell them there was no manager on duty but online watching reviews is diabolical. Told me there was nobody on site for human resources when I wanted to make my complaint there. Im only writing about my experience as a customer. She also offered to give $100 of the money back that she took several times. No!! I want all my money ASAP

Gonna preface this with the fact that it really takes a LOT for me to complain about a hotel. I also understand that because it was a holiday weekend, like many other places, the hotel was short staffed. However, the whole purpose for me of staying here was to make it a bit easier for the holiday on myself with my disabled mom. It ended up being three times as much work and running around.
This is now the second time I have traveled with my mother, gotten an accessible room, and had multiple issues with the room across the Hilton brand. It this point, it’s a bit evident that their focus is less geared towards diverse families and more towards business or standalone travelers, which is fine! Just don’t offer these types of rooms then if they’re not going to be reflective of the overall brand.
- Hallway and room smelled like marijuana when first arrived
- Dog vomit (I assume) on the couch, chair, and ottoman. I had already cleaned the couch and chair and then discovered the ottoman. I had just about had it at this point so we then waited for someone to come scrub the ottoman down.
- Not enough plates or utensils. Should have been enough for 8 since the room sleeps 8. We had about 4 of each type of dish.
- Carpet in rooms is lifted and a hazard in at least 3 spots I found. My mom can be guided to walk small distances, but the room would not work at all if a guest was in a wheelchair full time.
- Closet hadn’t been swept and had dust and hair in the back
- We called almost a month ago to request an early check in. I explained my mother is disabled and it was going to take about 2 hours to get her settled in and showed. I understand it was a holiday and with limited staff but I had called repeatedly and by the time we had all those issues resolved we didn’t have dinner until almost 8pm.
- Got a call while out on our last full day that we could not use our kitchen sink or dishwasher. Came back to the room several hours later and the issue still was not resolved. It was our last night and we had to travel back and forth between another room to wash our dishes. We were going to make dinner and ended up throwing away our ingredients and having to spend additional money buying dinner.
- I went down to the front desk after I brought my mother back. I was looking to lodge a complaint with a supervisor and was told there wasn’t one on until the morning who could do anything about it.
-Obviously check out morning was frantic trying to move my mother and our belongings. I was also trying to dodge incoming snow. I didn’t get to speak with the supervisor that morning, but I had been back and forth the previous days, so it’s not like staff didn’t know about these issues.
Now all of that said, I really do want to acknowledge the two women cleaning the breakfast area each morning. It was definitely a packed hotel the days we were there but they did an incredible job running the whole operation. It couldn’t have been easier but they were always kind to all of us and incredibly efficient.
