Upon entering the lobby had no employees only 3 people waiting to check it. I waited more than 10 min in a lobby with no staff at 7pm on a Friday, never experienced anything like this in 20 years of staying in hotels for work on the weekends. I mentioned unplowed lot and staff told me it was plowed, I found staff to be belittling and patronizing. Rooms are standard for this price range with a hard mattress that hurt my shoulders and pillows that go completely flat.

Recently, when we found ourselves visiting Vermont again and were too exhausted to continue driving back to downstate New York, we decided to stay here again—and we’re glad we did. The hotel remains a convenient, comfortable choice. Its location is close to everything we needed, and the staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming. In many ways, the property delivers exactly what a hotel should. The only factor keeping this from being a five-star review is that the hotel could benefit from some updates. The towels, for example, felt a bit scratchy and stiff—likely due to the hard water in the area. While not a major issue, it was noticeable. Regardless, our overall stay was positive, and the fact that we chose to return speaks for itself.
