From the moment we arrived to celebrate my wife’s birthday, TT opened our limousine door with outstanding customer service, assisted with our bags and escorted us to the elevator with our bags as seen in the photos. The front desk attendant John was thorough and attentive. All hotel staff greeted us by name, Mr & Mrs Jones. Paula, the Peacock Alley day manager, gave us a quick tour of the lobby and clock then personally escorted us to Lex Yard for breakfast (BTW the food was amazing). I can’t say how much my wife felt like royalty for her special weekend. The champagne and well wishes never stopped flowing. On our last night, a man with Concierge (unfortunately we didn’t get his name but he is in the last pic) popped the last bottle of champagne for us to cap our celebration. We’ve been to 6 Waldorf Astoria properties (Chicago, Versailles, Panama City, Palm Jumeirah, Rome Cavalieri & NYC) and while they were all a great experiences, none have compared to NYC the greatest of them all!!!
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning — it feels like stepping into a modern Atlas Shrugged landmark. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, rich with history, and truly a memorable experience.
Throughout our stay, the staff was consistently courteous, warm, and proactive in making sure we were well taken care of. They approached us thoughtfully for feedback, which we really appreciated, and it showed that they genuinely care about the guest experience.
We stayed for seven days, and room service was a highlight — very accommodating, with breakfasts and dinners that our kids especially enjoyed. Ordering in was convenient and always a pleasant experience.
Overall, this is an iconic property with incredible rooms and a team that is gracious and attentive. We would definitely stay again — the hospitality and environment make it a wonderful place to return to.

It’s not hard to write a five-star review for a place as iconic as the Waldorf Astoria New York. Most recently, I took a quick “mileage run” trip with my 15-year-old daughter to help her qualify for airline status, and we decided to spend the night at the Waldorf. It was a short stay, but it’s one that will forever be a core memory for both of us.
From the moment we booked, the staff went above and beyond. Lauriane, the Front Office Manager, reached out before our stay and even came out to greet us personally when we arrived. I’ve never felt more genuinely welcomed at a property, and my daughter thought the entire experience was magical.
Everything from the room and room service to the bell staff was exceptional, as you’d expect from a property of this caliber, but what truly stood out was the way the team set the tone before we ever stepped through the door and carried that same care throughout our stay.
Thank you to everyone at the Waldorf Astoria New York for creating an experience my daughter and I will remember forever.
They've done such a remarkable job with this hotel. I was blown away at how incredible the property was from the lobby, to the modern and spacious rooms, to the well equipped gym. Even though the hotel just reopened, they didn't miss a beat when it came to service. The food at Peacock Ally and for breakfast were also great. The only small complaints I have are lack of a pool and difficulty accessing the HDMI port in the TVs to plug in your own device.
I came here for my birthday and they made sure it was a memorable one! This started from the very beginning at check-in with them wishing me a happy birthday to them leaving birthday gifts in our room on arrival. They went out of their way to work with my friend to find such a thoughtful gift and something that I'll never forget! It was such a pleasant surprise to walk into the room and see the gifts they came up with. On top of that, they had a few more surprises in store such as delivering birthday balloons to my room, along with dropping off champagne and cake.
I hope to get the chance to come back here again in the near future!

I booked the Waldorf Astoria New York well in advance to celebrate my friend Antonio’s birthday. A few days before our arrival, I called to confirm some details and was warmly assisted by Molly, who took a genuine interest in making our stay special. She asked thoughtful questions about Antonio, and I left the call feeling excited for the trip.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Carson, who kindly helped with our bags. At the front desk, Gentiana welcomed us with an early check-in and generously upgraded us to a one-bedroom Lexington Avenue Suite. On the way to the elevator, she gave us a brief but fascinating history of the hotel and a tour of the iconic clock — a lovely touch.
When we entered our suite, we were surprised and delighted to find a personalized gift for Antonio: a beautiful music clock and a stylish hat, both inspired by the details I had shared with Molly earlier. Later, Molly and her colleague arrived with giant “Happy Birthday Antonio” balloons and even sang to us — a truly unforgettable moment.
As if that weren’t enough, we were treated to a full bottle of champagne and a decadent chocolate dessert with “Happy Birthday” written on it. The suite itself was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable.
The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Lex Yard — the eggs Benedict and French toast were standouts. For lunch, we tried the Waldorf salad and pigs in a blanket, both excellent. Throughout our stay, we had lovely interactions with the staff, including Gordon, a friendly doorman on the Lexington Avenue side.
Every person we encountered made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. This was, without question, the best hotel experience I’ve ever had — thanks to the kindest staff, a stunning setting, and an atmosphere of true hospitality. I can’t wait to return.
