I’m very disappointed with the service at this hotel. There were supposed to be two complimentary bottles of water provided in the room, but when I checked in, there was none. I called guest services more than three times from the afternoon until midnight and only received the water much later. When it was finally delivered, the staff member didn’t offer any apology for the extremely long wait and looked completely nonchalant, which made the experience feel even more frustrating and disrespectful.
It also felt like the room was not properly prepared before my arrival. Even the toilet paper was not set up—I had to open a new roll myself and place it there. For a hotel, this level of service and attention to detail is unacceptable.
Soon as we walked in to hotel staff downstairs harrassing us for we work on tips... don't they get pay check...room not ready fine.,,man down stairs put our luggage in a store room next to washrooms why not where everyone else's luggage stored., kept saying works on tips...trying to take pictures in lobby told cannot do that...rooms no fans in wash rooms no shower caps...shower would not work waited an hour for someone to come up...no pressure on water..we were a group of 10 we had four rooms..charged us fee on our credit cards for security right away and gave us food credit to use..not much choice..told money would be credited in 7 days...that is extortion... would not recommend this hotel

Passamos um fim de semana neste hotel e, de modo geral, a experiência foi muito boa. A localização é simplesmente perfeita, próxima a diversas atrações e com fácil acesso a restaurantes, lojas e transporte.
O check-in é realizado no terceiro andar.
• É cobrado um depósito caução de 125 dólares por dia, porém essa informação não é informada claramente no momento da reserva;

STAY WAY!! Seeing other reviews inspired me to write this one. MSocial charges for services not provided and REFUSES to refund you. The hotel is also poorly renovated with mold in the shower, bad caulking work and poor workmanship, really just lipstick on a pig. FULL STORY: I booked this hotel, showed up and they had cancelled on me because of a "credit card issue" and told me they were now full. To start, that's terrible to do that. I had a confirmation but they refused to accept it. I did not arrive late, why not let me provide another card. Regardless, despite saying they had no rooms, Hotels.com showed otherwise (I should have been wiser at this point). I booked through the app, checked in, got to my room (see videos) and that was the experience in the room.. a horrible repeating hammering/drilling sound maybe from HVAC but it continued when I turned that OFF. I returned to front desk who said they'd send maintenance and refund my money if it couldn't fixed. I returned to my room, waited over an hour, nothing. I struggled to find another hotel that was available but found the Hilton. I returned to the front desk, who called a manager then said maintenance was still coming but didn't know they where they were or when or if they could repair whatever the sound was. I requested a refund and first said they couldn't because I was OCCUPYING the room 🤦♂️then because Hotels.com had to issue it. I contacted hotels.com who said they would contact the manager by phone to help resolve the dispute. The manager made no attempt to be available for the call hotels.com was making and then the manager said she didn't have authority to issue a refund (then you're not a manager) and that only a director had the authority (next day). Despite showing the videos of what the condition of the room was and them refusing to come to see for themselves, it's past 11 at night, I'm now exhausted arguing (VERY civilly I should add despite being actively screwed by the hotel), hotels.com said they would continue contacting the hotel the next day, which they did and M Social refused to issue the refund. So I'm now I'm disputing with my credit card. Wish me luck.

I was a tourist to NY on a business trip, and had never been to NY before. My company booked rooms for us at the M social below is my review: 1st- when using the Lyft app to pick us up from the airport to take us to the hotel M Social does not come up for a downtown location, so Lyft brought us to times square. I spent 2 hrs in traffic going to the wrong hotel and didn't know (how am I supposed to know there are 2?). We get to times square and they tell us we need to be downtown. We finally get to the downtown location and are staying in the lobby with our luggage at the desk and there is no one there. Finally someone asked what we needed and I said we needed to check into the hotel and they said it was on the 3rd floor like I was supposed to know this information. Elevators were down to just 1 we waited 45 mins for the elevator. We get to the 3rd floor and there's 2 people in front of us at the desk, with only 1 person working. 1 hr later it was our turn but they said that the room wasn't paid for by the company even though we had confirmation that this was paid for. They had me charge the room to my own card roughly $1600 for 3 nights. I got up to the room and noticed they charged me for an "optional donation" which i was never informed about or given the option. There is no resturant. They have a very small bar its like a little rolling cart, it was about $30 for a shot of tequila (which was needed after the day we had). We get to the room, and the view was nice and the bed was comfortable, however we were supposed to have a king sized bed and it was definitely a queen. There was hair in the bathtub, no bath matts, no bags in trash cans, and no microwave and the absolute smallest mini fridge that would maybe fit 3 bottled waters. My bf slipped in the tub and hit his head on the bathroom counter on night 2. The building is still under renovation and you can hear drilling/ construction going on, not relaxing or peaceful at all. The elevators were a huge issue with someone being stuck inside the elevator for about 4 hours and very long wait times. The Monday we stayed the fire alarms were going off for a few hours and they announced on the loud speaker waking people up they were doing testing but didn't provide notice. I am a recent house fire survivor and being woken up by the sound of a fire alarm caused me to have a panic attack. The 1st floor is where the resturant is supposed to be when they open and they have tables and chairs.... but signs that you are not allowed to sit down. After walking around NYC all day and my feet hurting I had to stand while I was waiting for my coworkers to come down to meet them for dinner. The hotel/ room was in no way luxury even though 3 nights cost more than my monthly rent. Really the only good thing about this hotel was the location as it was less than a block away from our office building. Would not recommend anyone to stay here and will not return to this hotel, there are much better ones out there. They told one of my coworkers they needed to charge her about $400 for incidental but they charged her about $1700 and when my boss checked in, they didn't even have his room ready. It was literally one thing after another. Had this not been a work trip, and I was actually paying for this myself I wouldn't have even stayed past 1 night, I would have went elsewhere.
