GREAT location. Walked out and took one stride to see a Broadway show. Room is clean, sleek decor and love the bathroom with the walk in shower. Was on the high floor (41), elevator was quick and efficiency with no problem with wait or crowd within the elevator. Had an after Broadway cocktail and dinner there and enjoyed the quiet seating area.
Reception area was extremely busy both at check in and check out. The ticket notice for valet was right, you do need to call ahead 90 mins to get the car. Issue, no one answer the phone in the morning when everyone is checking out, I had to go downstairs and wait in line to talk to reception to get my car then received an text alert that the ticket was generated and come down (which didn’t make sense). Overall, great location and enjoy the hotel.

It’s now 4:40, room not available, no one knows when. Apparently needs to be checked by supervisor for over an hour now. Check in is 4:00pm. My son and I were told we had to leave the waiting area we were waiting in for “paying customers”…. I just don’t get it?? So we just standing with others waiting for same thing…can’t sit anywhere here, can’t check in…ridiculous. Our bags that we “checked in at 11am are still in open area for anyone to help themselves too as well…totally unsecure in lobby area. Certainly changes my view of Hilton and their service abilities…

Cons:
- bad musty smell as soon as entered room, hallway smells fine, but the entrance & inside room is terrible. I called front desk and they sent someone to investigate. This guy just tells me it probably comes from AC and ask me to adjust it. It is not the temperature bro but the smell!! If I were not here for business and too tired every day I would’ve switched hotel.
- There’s a rhythmic/consistent click sound inside the room as soon as I turn off the light. It happens every day. There’s no sound with the light on. I am too tired each day to call front desk about it and address it because I only notice it before sleep, otherwise I will certainly ask to switch room
- Room is tiny
Pros
- There’s doorman / guide man in the 1st floor and 11th lobby
- Automatic switch to control curtains and lights
- Type c plug, very convenient (benefits of new hotel)
- Times Square location
Despite the pros, the cons are so bad that I would never choose it again. I moved to another hotel as soon as it gets to weekend and I have some time to move.

I arrived early for pre check-in and was told our room would be ready at 4 PM. When we returned around 4:15 PM to check in, we were told the room still wasn’t ready. We ended up waiting until 5:30 PM before finally getting our room.
The manager came to speak with us, and when we asked if any compensation could be provided for the delay, he chuckled and offered to refund our taxes and give us a $34 restaurant credit. We used the restaurant credit, but a few days later I noticed I had been charged for it anyway. When I called billing, they said they could only credit me $10 back—and to make things worse, the promised refund for the taxes was never issued either.
On top of that, the staff seemed bothered by guests being there, and the manager never followed up on what he promised. Overall, a very disappointing experience and poor customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel

The experience my friends and I had at Tempo by Hilton Times Square was far below the standards expected of a Hilton property.
The trip was meant to be a special birthday celebration in New York, yet it was overshadowed by the condition of our room — specifically, the presence of bugs that resulted in one of my guests being bitten multiple times.
After checking out, I took their survey and the front desk manager contacted me about my stay and the bug situation. He simply stated, “That’s unfortunate… next time you stay with us, if there is a next time, we promise to do better.”
Absolutely unacceptable! Especially for the price we paid.
Thankfully the entire trip was not ruined due to negligence on the managers and housekeepings behalf.
There were some positives to note —the location was superb! You were really right in the heart of it all. The bellhops and security personal were attentive, helpful, and welcoming. The Highball restaurant had a great variety of options to choose from for breakfast in the morning.
Overall, our experience was good, not great. Again, not what you would expect from a Hilton hotel.
