I had a great experience at this hotel during my recent trip to New York. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the subway, which made getting around the city incredibly easy and convenient. I also appreciated how safe and secure the hotel felt throughout my stay. The environment is well maintained, and I felt comfortable at all times. A special mention goes to the amazing and highly professional staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its location, safety, and exceptional service. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful one-night stay at The Martinique. We chose the hotel for its affordability in the area and its convenient proximity to Broadway, and it ended up exceeding our expectations. Upon arrival, the front desk receptionist, Hirenia, surprised us by announcing that I had been selected as the “Guest of the Day.” As the name suggests, each day the front desk chooses one guest to receive a room upgrade along with a special in-room treat, which was such a delightful touch. On top of that, the room rate includes a $15 credit that can be used at the hotel’s restaurant, café, or cocktail bar, as well as an additional $15 credit for the city bikes. If you’re considering a stay, give this hotel a try. (It’s absolutely worth it!)

When my husband became suddenly very sick and went to the hospital, the head of security Nelia and the head of housekeeping, Leno, went beyond the call of duty in caring for us. They sent a team of employees to assist us. We owe a special thanks to Paula, who is part of the housekeeping staff. One of the many things they did for us was to offer our 13 year old grandson a milkshake and brownie! It was small but much enjoyed gesture during what was an emotionally fraught time. During the many hours of our crisis, they offered help and continual concern and support. Then and now I am overcome with gratitude for all that they did. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Phoebe Crane

We just finished a 5 day stay at the Martinique hotel in NYC. I have to say we enjoyed ourselves greatly. Three generations of ladies shopping and taking in Broadway shows. The location is great, a little further off the midtown path, however, easily walkable for all main events. The staff is wonderful from Amanda, the diner manager to Hirenia at the front desk. Hirenia went out of her way to ensure my nieces birthday was extra special. She included a thoughtful, personalized card AND chocolates. Mario was an amazing help and great doorman. I would highly recommend you give this hotel a chance! Overall a 5 star stay!

We went here for a company offsite and everyone agreed that, while the location is fantastic, the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. The rooms were very dusty—nearly everyone in our party were having allergy symptoms due to the dust. We also suspect the there might be some mold—several people got sick after staying at the hotel. Generally speaking, the service was very slow and not particularly helpful. For example, my luggage was being held when I got my room and I asked if it could be taken up to my room for me. They said that they didn’t think that was possible but that they’d ask the bellboy and get back to me (they never did). Also, I had to ask several times to get slippers delivered to my room. When I checked in, they had to move me to several different stations because the credit card reader wasn’t working. Also, on my first night there, the hotel room had no water bottles, so I had to get my own. Not big things on their own, but taken together, it made for a lackluster experience.
