It was clean and accessible to the main areas like thratre district. But the elevators were not working properly..and only two. They charge $29 @ day but credit worh drinks or Breakfast. Problem...small earing area and not enough tables, plus a line into the lobby because only one cook/attendant. Coffee machine broke down. Even though the price is right, not again.

THIS HOTEL IS TERRIBLE! PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! NOT WORTH IT AT ALL! ONLINE PHOTOS ARE A LIE! Arrival: Layover caused me to land in NYC an hour later than expected. When checking into the Distrikt Hotel AN HOUR after I was to arrive, they told me my room on the 32nd floor was NOT READY and that I would have to change rooms to a room located on the 19th floor. After asking why my room wasn’t ready a hour after my reservation, I was met with the response, “I’m not sure, housekeeping must be behind.” The staff were not accommodating in any way at all, and very unprofessional with all interactions made. Elevator(s): Only one elevator working, which caused a lot of traffic and uncomfortable moments on elevator. The second elevator was not in working condition when I arrived on Monday, and Wednesday morning we noticed it was moving up and down floors, assuming it was functional. I stepped on the elevator and pressed the 19th floor, and it proceeded to go to the 5th floor, then the elevator HALTED ABRUPTLY AND KNOCKED ME OFF MY FEET. I was stuck in the elevator, and pressed the button to call the help desk, and when proceeded to tell him I was stuck in the elevator he couldn’t hear me and kept saying “Hello? Hello?” The elevator then proceeded to go up to the 7th floor where I immediately got off and went downstairs to the front desk. When I approached the tall gentleman who worked there and told him what happened, he told me “When the elevator stops, it’s resetting itself. That’s normal.” I explained to him that that was a scary experience and elevators shouldn’t do that, which he replied with an eye roll as if I was exaggerating. Room: The room was small, and the photos they post are lies and do not reflect what it actually looks like. My room was shabby, smelled awful, the bath towels smelled gross, my bed sheets had random stains, and the pillowcases were dirty. My hutch was broken at the bottom already when I arrived (see picture). I couldn’t even close the hutch door all the way. The rooms were not soundproofed, and my room actually connected with another room. When asked for house keeping and clean towels, I received none, and had to call daily down to the front desk twice to ensure that housekeeping was coming. Restaurant: General bad attitude with kitchen staff, not knowledgeable, and extremely passive aggressive and rude. Food was terrible and overpriced, and after the first experience, I always got breakfast somewhere every morning, not ever wanting to eat in the restaurant. . Again, the photos posted online do not accurately reflect what the interior looks like. Overall experience: With rude employees, fake photos posted online to make it seem nicer than it is, the horrible food selection in restaurant area, and overall cleanliness being disgusting, I would strongly encourage you to NOT COME HERE, because I was excited to come here from the photos, but experiencing it in person was utterly disappointing. 0/10 stars, would never recommend.

My husband and I stayed at the Distrikt Hotel last week and it was truly amazing. The service was top tier! The Guest Services Manager Chrissy was outstanding. She checked in on us right after arrival, bringing us up anniversary balloons and champagne and treats to celebrate us, she checked in on us throughout our stay, providing tips on good restaurants and where to find good pizza - her recommendations were 10/10 by the way. Everyone we encountered there was excellent - Robbie at the front desk, the young woman who checked us in and out, and everyone working at their Bistro was so attentive and kind. This was a WONDERFUL experience with a phenomenal staff. Not to mention - the location was PERFECT! We walked everywhere. Museums, Broadway, restaurant row, shopping. It was great. Thank you all for an amazing trip! 10/10 would recommend :)

We're Hilton Gold so seldom stay anywhere other than Hilton properties. This stay was not worthy of Hilton. The only positive was the personnel. They were fine. But any room that the number ends in 02 shares a wall with the elevator shaft (ours was 2502) so we listened to the elevator all night and had to change rooms the next day. Sleepless night! It didn't help that one of two elevators was out of service. There's also no service elevator so during the day you're competing with housekeeping for the elevator. The bar experience was marked by there being almost nothing in stock, despite being on the menu. There was no coffee maker in the room as advertised. The bathroom mirror was falling off the wall. The furnishings were old and scuffed. I can't believe this place is included in the Tapestry Collection. It appears to be an old property they bought and have done little to improve. We will not stay here again!

A bit of a stain on the Hilton brand....This is literally the worst value for money place I have ever stayed in, and that is not fully explained by “this is NYC”. It might still be explained by “NYC” that they charge a funny mandatory $29 fee for Internet access, a gym around the corner that you can spend against in their viewless bar. All to shpw lower daily rates in the overview. But that they only have two elevators for ~30 stories and let one sit non-functional for all of my three day stay is unacceptable. Had to actually carry my suitcase down the stairs, which was not even commented on…. Overall a bit run down and a huge money grab overall. A bit of a stain on the Hilton brand this is, will avoid this Hilton brand-extension offerings in the future.
