The bathroom had updated amenities, and was also relatively clean. I did notice some peeling pain on the bathroom ceiling. The stay included a buffet breakfast, which was somewhat lacking. It was inadequate to service the number of guests, and there was minimal effort to refresh the items or to clean the tables. The pool had a nice gym and pool, which were not crowded during our visit. There is sufficient free parking.

Vegas is profoundly autistic and nonverbal, and we came down to Long Island to celebrate with his big brother, big sister, brother-in-law, godfather, and to introduce him to his new baby nephew. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially Kaitlyn (the manager) and Alyssa at the front desk. They were incredibly kind and thoughtful, and even surprised Vegas with a big bag of treats and a birthday card signed by almost everyone on staff. That small act of kindness meant more to us than they’ll ever know, the card now hangs on a picture board in our living room and will always stay there. The hotel was spotless, check-in and check-out were smoother than butter, and the breakfast area smelled amazing and looked cozy and inviting. Even though we were only there for one night, we felt completely safe, comfortable, and cared for. Thank you, Hampton Inn Islandia, for giving our family such a beautiful memory
