DO NOT STAY HERE especially if you are a patient at North Shore Hospital looking for somewhere to stay while recovering. Many reasons below:
1) Did not honor discount rate that the hospital says they have due to me "not asking the right way". Ridiculous.
2) Says the property is smoke-free but REEKS of marijuana 24/7
3) Floors and walls are paper thin. You can quite literally hear everything so good luck getting a restful night of sleep.
4) Front desk is incredibly rude and unhelpful.
Please learn from my mistake & don't stay here! Don't believe the 5 star reviews, I doubt they are legit. As a Hilton Honors member, I am SHOCKED that this hotel could be in the Hilton portfolio. Just horrid.

Homewood Suites Carle Place continues to impress me with every stay, and a major part of that is due to the outstanding team members who make the experience so enjoyable and comfortable.
Kayla always greets guests with a genuine smile and a warm welcome. Her upbeat attitude and eagerness to help never go unnoticed. Whether it’s answering questions or offering assistance, she brings a friendly, approachable energy to the front desk that instantly puts guests at ease.
Kilee is incredibly efficient when it comes to solving problems. She’s detail-oriented, quick to respond, and remains calm and professional under pressure. If something isn’t quite right, you can count on her to take ownership and resolve it effectively.
Kenny is fantastic with guest services. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of your stay is smooth and enjoyable. From handling requests to offering local tips, he makes you feel like a valued guest.
Joanna, the supervisor, is clearly a strong leader. Her presence is reassuring, and it’s evident that she sets a high standard for professionalism and service across the entire team. She maintains a great balance of approachability and authority and contributes to the team’s seamless coordination.
Thanks to the incredible staff, the hotel maintains a high level of hospitality that keeps me coming back. The rooms are clean and modern, service is reliable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The team here truly makes it feel like a second home.
I highly recommend Homewood Suites Carle Place, especially because of the dedicated and exceptional team who go above and beyond to make every stay memorable. Thank you all!

I recently had the misfortune of experiencing extremely poor customer service at your hotel. After arriving at 4:30 pm, following a lengthy nine-hour drive, I was informed that I could not check in due to my name not being on the reservation. My husband had originally made the reservation for two adults and two children, but was unable to travel with us. Despite his efforts to add my name to the reservation, the front desk staff refused to accommodate us. My husband was able to add my name as she requested and it wasn’t enough for her. Hotels.com also called her directly and she hang out the phone to them multiple times. We have proof of my name on the reservation and we also have proof of hotels.com telling us that the front desk kept purposely disconnecting the phone. The woman at the front desk was rude and unprofessional, and her behavior became increasingly aggressive, culminating in her yelling at me and threatening to call the police. I was ultimately forced to leave the hotel and find alternative accommodations, despite having a reservation and proof of payment. I am extremely disappointed in the level of service I received and would like to request a formal apology and compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused. The reservation was made months in advance, and the total cost for the two-night stay was approximately $1,000. We encountered one semi friendly worker at check in who helped us get a room for the night despite our issues with Expedia booking. We didnt even stay the night the smell of animal urine in the hallways was so strong it would leak into the room. While the room appeared to be clean at first it was not. They had the fan running which allowed fresh air in, as soon as we changed it to ac we could barely handle the smell of wet dog that was in the room. Didn't even bother speaking to the front desk because of the other two staff members we spoke to already were short tempered and unhelpful. We packed up and went to another hilton 20 minutes away.

Front desk staff lied straight to your face and were extremely rude. We booked a double queen beds suite through Chase travel on 6/22/2025 for a stay on 10/25/2025 for 3 adults. Upon arrival around 7 pm that day, in addition to the receptionist being extremely rude, they told us that the double queen beds suite was sold out and they upgraded us to a king bed suite and told us the 3rd guest can sleep on the sofa bed. I asked to see their supervisor because we have elderly guest who couldn't sleep on the sofa bed and there was no way to share bed with the rest of us. They pointed to an empty spot and said the lady who was here was the supervisor but was gone for the day. After a few minutes, the lady showed up (excuse me, you just said she left for the day and won't be here until monday?) and asked what happened and this receptionist kept on signaling her. Both of them kept saying that the king bed room was an upgrade. We were short on time so we didn't persist. The next day after we contacted our travel agent and confirmed online, it turned out that king bed suite was a downgrade. The fact that the front desk people openly and consistently lie without any shame and give an extremely cold attitude is very concerning about what kind of training and service management this hotel provides. Sure, there might be some risk of not guarantee of the room type when booking through 3rd party (even though I booked 4 months ahead), this has never happened with other hotels within the US or internationally to us, not to mention they downgraded our room. This experience made our vacation extremely unpleasant.
Additionally, the hotel in general is not kept clean- the room is very old, kitchen has stains, hallways with trash on the ground left for over 12 hours, etc.. we have had great experiences with Homewood Suites at other locations but this location brought a huge disappointment. This was what $560 per night brought.
