I usually stay exclusively at Hilton properties during my work travels as in my experience they generally seem to be held to a higher standard and meet my expectations well. This was not the case at this location. My room was freezing and the thermostat was completely dead (no remote or alternative way to control HVAC either). In addition the entire third floor smelled of something gone bad from the elevator up until my room. I’d booked a room with a tub as I was doing outdoor work in during a very cold week and was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. There were a multitude of long black hairs in the tub itself as well as over the counter and walls that were present upon my arrival. The cleaning lady definitely didn’t forget to leave her card to ask for a tip though… Since I wasn’t feeling up to cleaning the bathroom myself in a hotel room I’d booked and expected to be clean, I ended up foregoing using it. In addition the electrical setup is odd to say the least, a lot of dated light fixtures that hum loudly and a switch just to control the microwave outlet. Sad to say it was my first disappointing experience at a Hilton property and I won’t be returning and instead will be recommending to any of our construction crew or subcontractors that they avoid this location. Last time I visited this area for work I stayed at the Brockport Hampton Inn and had a much more pleasant experience. I’ll be returning there even if it means a 30 minute commute to the site rather than a two minute one. It’s worth the drive to not have to deal with the sub par standards.

I am writing because I am very unhappy how I was treated with an issue that I had. I canceled my rooms only to find out 1 room was canceled not both. I was told there is a 24 hour time frame but the room that they canceled was the one that was for that night. They conveniently charged me for the one that was 2 nights. I was told by the employee he had canceled both. The service that I received trying to fix this problem was less then satisfactory. I honestly can't believe that is how you treat customers. If hampton inn is ok with this treatment I can guarantee I will never stay in one of their hotels again. I wish I would have read the reviews before booking at this hotel

I am absolutely disgusted with how this hotel is treating my mother. She called to cancel her hotel stay and the gentleman she spoke to stated he cancelled the rooms. She is now being charged roughly $400 for a stay there. When she spoke to the manager they stated that it wasn’t within the 24 hour window but yet he cancelled one of them but not the other. If there was an issue they should have said that on the phone and they shouldn’t have stolen my mother’s money. The manager then hung up on my mother when she was trying to mitigate the situation. How could one room be cancelled but not the other room when they were for the same night. She also claimed that there is no proof my mother didn’t check in. Which every hotel I have ever stayed at requires a signature when you check in. She ended up staying closer to me and my family in Buffalo. This will be escalated to corporate but I wanted to put a review to prevent anyone else from getting scammed out of a significant amount of money. Update- My mother called and cancelled both rooms. The error on your employee is becoming a huge financial issue for my retired mother. She was told that both rooms were cancelled. Why would she keep one and not the other. Oddly enough the one that “wasn’t” cancelled is the two night. And when she spoke to the manager she stated there Is no way to tell she didn’t check in. The point of all of this is you need to hold your employees accountable and make things right. Looking at your reviews I can tell you are hurting for money but unfortunately scamming customers is not the way to go.
