Downtown is 20 minutes from us, home to parks, state government offices, the USS Slater, and entertainment along the Hudson River. Keep the fun going with our foosball table and indoor pool. At first, the hotel seemed quite nice, though a bit pricey considering it’s only Albany. However, as soon as I walked into my room, there was a very strong, unpleasant smell, likely from an unused air conditioning system. When I raised this with the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do since the hotel was fully booked. The receptionist was argumentative and even tried to “teach me the law” regarding the hotel’s rights, which was unnecessary and unhelpful. They offered to refund me if I chose to go elsewhere, but as I was exhausted after the exam, I decided to stay. I was later told by the manager that a refund would be processed, but it never was. Overall, a very disappointing experience and not what you would expect from Hilton. I would not recommend staying here, even for the convenience of being close to the airport.

A large chunk of hair (not ours) was near the pillow, and multiple large holes in the sheets were present. I think the management needs to do a better job with quality control of their housekeeping staff, and replace bed linens when due. The handsoap in the bathroom was also completely empty. None of these were real dealbreakers, but for $250+/night that we paid, this was a disappointment.
- CPChristine PassarettiOct 11, 20251.0Nice "looking" hotel from the oitside, but looks like romper-room inside(the lobby is horrendous) and the bathroom had pink mold growing in it. BEWARE. There is a pool and game room inside and they echo throughout the entire place. If you are looking for a good night sleep before a flight than this is NOT THE PLACE. Kids running up and down the hallways, screaming and yelling until all hours of the night and the staff did nothing about it even after speaking to them THREE TIMES. The pool is like an echo chamber of loud noise and splashing. This went on until at least 10pm. Never have I been so angry trying to get a good night sleep in my life. Cannot wait to call Hilton in the morning
