Very unprofessional staff gave us a hard time about checking in and valet parking. Never in my life have I been exposed to such a poorly managed hotel system. Like do your jobs your getting paid and I’m paying for a room. Absolute embarrassment to the company.

Great walkable location in downtown Albany with friendly staff at the front desk and valet stand. Unfortunately, the rooms are dark and tired with tired furniture, noisy HVAC units, and threadbare towels. There are tiny smart TVs but no USB ports to be found. The parking situation isn't ideal, either - $20 for valet parking or take your chances on the street.

One of the worst hotel experiences me and my family ever had. 1st they wouldn't let me park my car in the hotel parkimg lot. I said I would pay valet but let me park myself because I had my 2 little ones in back along with my wife and plenty of luggage. Next they didn't give us the room we were promised. 3rd and worst of all, both the elevators were down and I did get stuck in one for 5 min. This caused me and my family having to carry our luggage down 7 flights of stairs. Horrible horrible.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Great Stay Thanks to Richard! We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Albany for Parent Weekend at my son’s college. Hotels near campus were booked, so we chose this one about 15 minutes away, and it turned out great. Parking is valet only (it’s downtown, so that makes sense), and the valet staff was excellent—my car was always ready, and they never charged for parking. I just tipped them, and they were fantastic. At check-in, we met Richard at the front desk, and he’s the reason this review is five stars. He’s professional, friendly, and really goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. He reminded us about the complimentary breakfast (6–10 a.m.), which was very good. Every time we passed by, he greeted us with a smile and asked how our stay was going. The room was clean and comfortable, a bit small but nice overall. The bathroom was spotless. No microwave and limited space for clothes, but nothing that would stop me from staying again. It’s a pet-friendly hotel, and everything felt organized and safe. I’d rate the hotel itself a solid 4, but Richard and the staff make it a full 5 stars. If management reads this—Richard deserves a raise!
