This place could really use some TLC. Not sure how they managed to become infested with mold in the desert, but our bathroom was so bad that we had to leave early and find a cheaper, but mold-free hotel outside of the downtown area. Would not recommend.

Will never stay in Hilton Sante Fe Historic Plaza ever again. 4 nights with no HVAC! Temperature at night was in the low 30’s, which made the stay uncomfortable. One of the staff members admitted that there was a block of rooms without HVAC. The management hid behind walls. Hilton should be embarrassed. Wes at the front desk was nothing more than the messenger for the manager on duty and he wasn’t able to offer enough points to cover a one night stay at an Motel 8. Do better Hilton.

This hotel has so much potential if they would just pay attention to the details. The location is great the beds are comfy but I don't have many other positives. Housekeeping does not pay attention to details. The first room I was given had dirty sheets with what appeared to be body fluids on them. I went back to the front desk and showed pics and got another room. The room is rather dark to begin with but some there was a light bulb not working. I used up all the body wash one day and it did not get refilled. I didn't notice until that evening when I went to shower before dinner. While out for dinner I used the app to message the hotel. No one ever responded to my message so I called and was forwarded to housekeeping which just had answering machine. I called the front desk when I got back to the room and he said he would send someonw to refill. After some time, he called back and said no one was here from housekeeping, everything was locked up and he didn't have a key so he couldn't help me. My room was on the first floor so the sliding door had direct access to the pool. On the second night, I found that the sliding door was not locked. I did not check it when I arrived and only assumed it locked but it was not. I acknowledge my role in not checking upon arrival. Fortunately there was no issues from this. Many people talk about AC issues. I visited during the winter, my issue was the room didn't get warm enough despite the heat being turned way up. Room temp wasn't bad, it just needed to be a few degrees warmer. It was about 30 degrees outside so if it was colder it could have been a lot worse.

The location is perfect to all the shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs alot of updating. When they say Historic, its Historic all right. No AC in the first room, and they switch us to another room, that didnt have AC working. Our second room had bloody sheet stains, some other stains who knows what they are. Dont ask! When the housekeepers showed up to redo the bed with clean sheets, they voiced their concerns in spanish. Little did they know I know spanish very well. They should have said what they said away from us customers. The dog barking on the 3rd floor for more than 20 mins was annoying. Wes was able to take care of it right away. I think this is the only great thing about this hotel, is Wes!!! The restaurant Ortiz, ya....thats a no go!! The food is not even worth the price. Its bar food alright. On our day of checking out, we found some cigar type stuff you use for extra curricular activities. Goes to show housekeeping doesnt do a good job at cleaning your rooms. AVOID this HOTEL!!! There is far better other hotels then this one. Do your research and read the reviews.

We had a lovely stay here! Shoutout to Wes at the front desk. He delivered outstanding customer service and I was impressed not only by his courtesy and helpfulness to us but to each and every guest I witnessed him interact with. The regular room we had originally booked were all taken so we got a complimentary upgrade to the casita. It was a very pleasant space to spend the night, with a comfortable bed and jacuzzi tub. The hotel location is convenient to strolling the downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
