Wonderful indoor pool, friendly staff - one of my favorite local stay-cation spots to change the scenery. Solid drinks at the bar too. Also, right across the highway to the Short Hills mall which is nice. It's an easy walk if you don't want to grab your car.

Horrible from when I tried booking a room with a third party which I had asked at the front desk if I could book with Hilton itself and I was advised I had to go through a third party and I tried to explain to the woman what I went through with the third party I started booking a room Tuesday October 7th at 10 until 3 pm but she cut me short and connected me to a third party. It was a fiasco from the moment I arrived getting here at 1 pm on October 8th They advised me I booked 2 rooms I said no the third party messed up that was one situation then getting a raw burger for lunch then I couldn’t get anything else until 5 when the dining room opened I was told from the manager James he was giving me a free burger when the restaurant opened but in actuality it wasn’t free because I had paid for a burger which I asked for it well done and then received a raw burger. 2 nights not sleeping. I was moved from the because it as a queen when I requested a king to then the second room because an outlet was not working the tv was not working they had to turn off the power to fix the outlet. So I was moved to a 3rd room on the 1st floor above the event room for parties . I arrived Wednesday to a fiasco of issues when I had spoken to the mangers, James and Onaria (I apologize if I spelled his name wrong) that day. They knew what my situation was, that I needed sleep and peace and what I went through from trying to book a room. Then I get a room that was not livable to the floor above the rooms of parties which I explicitly explained I needed to rest and I was crying for 3 days and they put me on a floor with a wedding party which woke me up at 1 AM on Thursday and today October 10th there’s an event in a room with loud music . Which I was told I would not hear anything. Now I’m not going to rest another night. Horrible for my mental health and sleep horrible you would put someone who needed rest above a room for events . Horrible I have not slept now going on 2 days. I’m very upset and I will write more on the situation that now the Short Hills Hilton put on me my health and mental health. I’m so disappointed and cannot believe the Hilton had put me in a worse situation then I was in. More comments to come Now on 10-13 they charged me for $150 for incidentals which I was told when I checked out that it would be refunded but as of today they took the money out of my account. This is again unacceptable from the Hilton what else will you do to me that I have to keep writing in here which I do not like to do but unfortunately it was too much that I went through to not post and now charging me for incidentals that I did not incur.

It is a very elegant hotel. The moment you are in front desk greets you and helps you to have the best check-in experience. Restaurant lounge is very warm and welcoming. Amenities such as indoor pool, jacuzzi and fitness room give you the vibe to be relaxed. Such a wonderful place. Strongly recommend for staycation even for New Jersey residents.

Overall a good hotel, however some minor things that do add up and could be resolved easily. Duvet - sheet comes off, not joined, at night is disturbing No slippers provided, when I asked for some, was told Hilton does not provide slippers. Towels are too small. I asked if they have larger ones, was told I can have more towels but they do not have larger ones. What was I meant to do with more towels, sew them together? Water for tea, had to use coffee machine. It does not switch off, hard to use. Why can there not be a kettle in the room?

The Hilton Short Hills is a quite, older property that is tucked away in a fluent neighborhood. What really makes this hotel stand out is the people working it! Extremely nice staff, always at the right place and time to support the customer! A lot of smiles and diverse, friendly faces all in unity, to make your stay their beautiful and memorable! The food at the restaurant is very good! I had a Cob Salad and enjoyed a bread and butter plate! The bread plate was delicious but it was $20! $20 for a bread and butter plate is outrageous, but I digress. The service was a little slow but granted there was a larger group in for lunch and lunch had just started. However, once the food came out, it was worth the wait! That Cob Salad was on point! Not the best one I ever had, but most certainly one of the better ones! The rooms are somewhat older, but clean and nice. Honestly, I believe this hotel is overdue for renovation. Housekeeping was very accommodating and attentive. The hotel has under ground parking and is situated right across the street from an upscale mall! This hotel is a suburbs type of hotel with decent sized rooms, a very good restaurant, but does need renovation. The service is what makes this hotel a gem! I will absolutely stay here again and look forward to it!
