First and last timeat doubletree. The only positive was the person at the front desk she was lovely. Everything else was very much in need of upgrade. The dresser ithe room had a burn mark or very dirty black mark, bathroom layout was terrible. Shower had 2 sliding doors of which only the back one was usable the front one could not be used as it was 2-3 inches from the toilet. The grab bar inside the shower is toward the front so if a person had to use it they could not reach in and hold it to help entering or exiting. It would be a 15 minute fix to relocate the grab bar or add a second one but obviously the owners don't care. The shower head was awful and could not be moved. The price was pretty comparable to other local hotels that included breakfast.

This place is under construction. The staff does not answer phone not even for Hilton central reservations. Tried calling Friday from 1 to 5 pm no answer. Worst service.

I would say this place is fine except that for what it costs and what you get, it’s not fine, it’s very disappointing. The room was clean. That’s the only positive but I do consider that to be a big deal. So I’ll give them that. Everything else sucks. I don’t know how you charge this much money and clearly never put any of it into room repairs or upgrades. We had to switch rooms when we got in late because the first room we were given has the thermostat set to 60° and the unit under the window didn’t work so we couldn’t heat up the room at all. The second room they gave us did have a working heater, but the TV didn’t work at all. So nothing terrible… just crappy… and expensive and crappy makes me not happy. We won’t come back here and this definitely reflects poorly on the brand.

Absolutely Phenomenal Indian Wedding Reception at the Hilton DoubleTree Mahwah! We recently hosted our Indian wedding reception at the Hilton DoubleTree in Mahwah, NJ, and we are still on cloud nine! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing — and a huge part of that is thanks to Dina, who went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable. Dina was an absolute dream to work with. Her flexibility, "can-do" attitude, and genuine commitment to making everything perfect truly stood out. Planning an Indian wedding reception comes with a lot of moving parts and cultural nuances, and Dina handled every request with grace and efficiency. No ask was too big or too small — she welcomed our ideas with open arms and made sure they came to life seamlessly. From coordinating our custom décor setup to working with our caterers and ensuring the ballroom was just as we envisioned, the team at the DoubleTree made everything smooth and stress-free. The venue itself is beautiful and spacious — perfect for dancing the night away and celebrating with all of our family and friends. We received so many compliments from our guests on how elegant and well-run the event was. It's rare to find a venue that combines such great service, flexibility, and professionalism all in one — but Hilton DoubleTree Mahwah truly delivered. To Dina and the entire staff: THANK YOU for being such an integral part of our big day. You helped turn our vision into reality, and we are forever grateful! Highly recommend this venue to any couple looking to host a wedding or reception — especially those planning a South Asian celebration. You will be in the best hands!
