It is with great regret and sadness that I must say the staff is extremely rude and racist. They are completely uncooperative. They are demanding $15 just to warm milk for an innocent child. Their behavior is so hostile that I am not even willing to stay for a single minute, yet they are refusing to refund the money and are behaving aggressively toward me. I will make sure that none of my acquaintances ever stay at this hotel again. I was subjected to extremely humiliating and disrespectful treatment.

Had a worst experience and service at this place. We booked two rooms and learnt on the arrival that there is no water in the facility (due to broken motor) for more than 24hrs. Front desk staff were helpless and had no clue how to handle the crowd. We move to another Hilton property nearby. Situation so you of have been handled better and staff could have shown more empathy to customers

This was one of the most stressful hotel experiences I have ever had. My reservation was canceled just one hour before arrival because the hotel had no water. At that point, I had already driven 12 hours from Charlotte, NC to New York City for Christmas. Being notified that late left me stranded and exhausted. What made the situation much worse was how I was treated by the manager on duty, William. He was rude, dismissive, and spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner. When I asked for help or alternatives, I was refused any assistance. I genuinely felt uncomfortable during the interaction and felt that I was treated differently because of how I look. I had no choice but to book another hotel on my own at the last moment just to have a place to stay. As an international traveller with no family in the U.S., this experience during the holidays was emotionally overwhelming. I have been a Hilton Honors member for over two years, and this experience was far below the level of care and professionalism I expect from a Hilton property. Problems happen, but how guests are treated in difficult situations matters, and this hotel failed badly. I hope Hilton and the property management take this feedback seriously and address how guests are treated during emergencies.

Their famous DoubleTree cookies are breaking their backs holding up this otherwise dated and very tired hotel. I've stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years to visit family that lives close-by. My most recent stay in their ~$500/night "presidential" "suite" and the lack of follow-up from their management after contacting them about it was my last straw with this hotel. A truly upsetting experience from start to finish. I was given a Digital Key, which was good, but entering what looked like a regular 1-bed King-sized room (attached) was a huge surprise. The room itself was extremely worn. Peeling paint in the (cramped) bathroom and gashes on the connecting door (attached) are unfortunate, but understandable, blemishes for a $150/nt reservation, but unacceptable in what's supposed to be this hotel's flagship accommodations. The room was also messy. Finding someone's leftover sock wedged between the wall and an ottoman (attached) really added to this room's stately ambience. As it happens, the "Presidential" part of the suite was in the room adjoining that which I was given a Digital Key for. I only found out about this after confirming with the app that the room was, indeed, supposed to be much larger and, then, calling the front desk to correct the discrepancy. (The front desk did not call me!) The living room was old, and the water looked like it hadn't been replaced in a while, but it most certainly was a suite. Contacting hotel management was futile and was my motivating factor for posting this review. I emailed them shortly after my stay with the remarks from this review and a request for a partial refund. This seemed like a fair request given that I was only given a key for the bedroom and bathroom portion of this suite and they are the same size (more or less) as the other rooms I've stayed in at this hotel for considerably less money. Crickets. Not even an automatic "we've received your request" acknowledgement. Quite upsetting. I've been fortunate enough to stay in many suites throughout the Hilton and Marriott portfolios over the years. This experience at the DoubleTree is undoubtedly the worst suite I've stayed in and sullied my desire to ever stay here again. Consider splurging elsewhere!

Terrible Experience – Completely Disappointed I had a reservation at this hotel that I placed using a debit card. To my shock, they canceled my reservation simply because it was a debit card and not a credit card without any notification. When I called to resolve the issue, I was told it was “my problem” and that there was nothing they could do, and then the call was abruptly hung up on me. As a Hilton employee myself, I am disgusted by the level of customer service I received. They refused to let me speak with a manager and gave me no opportunity to update my payment information. If this property requires a credit card rather than a debit card, that policy should be clearly communicated at the time of booking. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
